Vitani refused to help Kovu again. At least now, she knew that Huyani had not hurt Kovu, or anyone else. I believe her... Vitani batted a paw at the drab ground once again. She still wondered, who on Earth would live in the Elephant Graveyards? Passersby, maybe?
For what was probably the third, and now final time, Vitani padded foward, left her brother, and all of the other unknown Outlander lions and lionesses, and after a long trek, went back to the thriving Pridelands and waterhole. Vitani padded back to the waterhole, chasing away a couple of frightful antelopes, zebras, and wildebeests. Like what she had done before she went to the Outland territory, Vitani looked at her face in the lake, now not changed by ripples.
The image looks the same; but am I still the same lioness as I was yesterday? Before I left the Outlands for good?
Sykara looked back at Sirom, who had went forward to take a peek at Kovu and Huyani. It's gotten worse, hasn't it? Sykara edged closer to cover, trying not to leave Sirom's side.
At least now, one of the Pridelanders, the lioness, had left the scene.
