I only understood what really happened the morning after when I arrived at school. Our teacher explained it all to us and we had a moment of silence for all the victims. I can't believe it's been 10 years :O

I remember seeing the smoke from the Manhattan side of the Tappan Zee bridge after they dismissed us from school. Never will forget that.

RIP to those who lost their lives.

I remember being 4 Years Old and my mother got a phone call. My uncle's friend was telling her to flick on the T.V. I remember waking up to see my Uncle, Grandmother and Mother crowded on the couch with their eyes glued to the t.v. yet, I was still not old enough to understand, but I knew they wouldn't be doing this if something wasn't wrong.

I was 5 and my brother was 7, ten years ago from this day. I was in kindergarden and he was in 2nd grade. As everyone knows, I have always and still live in New York City. We were both in school, my dad was working in New Jersey, and my mom was about to get ready to go to work in Manhattan. She and my grandmother were in the kitchen watching TV. They both saw the towers falling. She called our schools to see if everything was fine. My dad still told her to pick us up right away. She picked me up first, then my brother. She and my grandma stayed home with both of us the whole day. We were not to leave the house. That night, my father couldn't come home, so he had to stay in New Jersey for the night at his friend's house. My mom slept with me in my bed and my grandma slept with my brother. Even though I didn't lose anyone, I pay my respects to all those lost ones that were effected on September 11th, 2001. May those people rest in peace and God Bless America. :thoughtful:

I remember I was 8. My mom and grandfather told me what had happened when I arrived from school. I didn't understand it completely, so my grandfather took me in front of the TV. When I saw the towers collapsing, my heart pounded with a pain I'll never forget. It has been the most painful event I have ever seen in my life. I can't believe 10 years have passed since. It still is so painful and sad. I pray for the souls of the victims and may God protect us all and bless the Earth with love, hope and happiness. Amen.
