Nala: what's the real meaning?

I always thought Nala meant love as well, but I may be mistaken.

It does mean gift and several other things also. I am quite happy to find that Simba also means tiger. although I didn't find that in the Swahili/English dictionary.

Nala is a form of the Egyptian name, Nailah. Nailah does mean "successful" so I guess Nala means the same thing. At the end of the day, it's up to you to make your own decision about what the name actually does mean.
