Melony chuckled, hoping she didn't look too nervous. "Yeah. They're a cute couple." she felt herself blushing and hoped it wasn't noticeable past her red fur.

Jempa turned to her. "Melony, I can sense that something's up. Feel free to tell me. I'm your friend," he said.

Melony hesitated, "I..." she also turned to face him and his eyes caught hers as she tried to find the right words, though his eyes got most of her attention.

Jempa sighed. "Just say it. I won't be angry," he said.

Melony continued staring into Jempa's, trying to get herself into saying what she wanted to say for so long. "I... I really like you..." once she realized that she had actually said it she looked down at her paws with embarrassment.

Jempa smiled and his tail started to wag. "Is that all you had to tell me? If so, I'm happy to hear it," he said.

Melony continued avoiding Jempa's gaze, still feeling embarrassed. "I didn't know how you would react...."

Jempa laughed. "I'm not the sort of dog to get angry over a pleasant bit of news like this," he said.

Melony after a few seconds looked up from her paws, again blushing when her eyes met Jempa's.

Jempa smiled at her. "Well, we should get back and rest. We have more running tomorrow," he said.
