[Closed to Kopalover ~Again~]

Postby Baya » September 1st, 2011, 1:04 am

The scorched sands of the desert shifted whilst two figures made their way across it. Soft winds blew, kicking the sand up and making the journey a tad bit more difficult for the lion and the lioness that were slowly but surely making their way across. One of them was Baya,a lion that was so used to the difficulties of the desert it did not even slightly phase him. The other, a young adult lioness by the name of Tupa, Baya's student and adopted daughter. They were on their way through the desert this fine day in search of battle, food and water preferably in the same place.

Though battle was something of an export on the land they ended up in. The sand thinned into a layer of cracked earth. The sky now had clouds to block the heat of the sun, and all around them were gigantic termite mounds. "Baya. I do not think we are in the desert anymore..." Tupa finally spoke, looking around at their surroundings with her magenta eyes. Baya snorted, not giving a reply as he continued walking.

"Don't think we'll find much battle here Baya, we should turn back." Tupa pointed out. Baya smirked.

"I can only imagine what kind of lions would live here. Probably lots of pent up aggression. We'll keep going. If we find nothing, then we'll turn back." Baya suggested, as one strand of his sleek black mane fell over his sandy face. The two walked more and more, until they finally reached a rather large and polluted watering hole. Tupa frowned as she sniffed the water.

"Uh, Baya...this water isn't good for drinking." Tupa warned. Baya didn't listen as he began to drink regardless, not really caring how polluted the water was. Water was water in the desert, and he figured that rule could apply in these lands as well. Baya lifted his muzzle slightly and looked around slowly.

"Do you feel it?" Baya asked silently. Tupa looked confused then she found out what it was. They were being watched.

~-----~

"Don't see why all three of us need to go on guard duty. Mother always just sends Tani." Nuka murmured bitterly. "Giving me all the sucky jobs." Nuka muttered under his breath.

A young adult Kovu walked alongside his older brother without much of a word. "Well Nuka, see of it as her having some faith in you." Kovu said with a grin at his brother. Vitani, who was also sent on patrol, was walking with them but keeping quiet.

"I just don't see why we gotta patrol. Worst thing out here is pride landers...and I could tear them up all by myself!" Nuka snorted.

"Pfft, I could take on any ROGUE. They aren't a threat either!"

"Didn't mom tell you about rogues? They are alot worse than pride landers..." Kovu pointed out as they slowly made their way to a cliff that over looked the watering hole.

"Rogues can't do much to me either. I was trained by mother too you know." Nuka retorted as he sat by the cliff overlooking the waterhole. Vitani and Kovu did the same. Nuka gazed at the two through squinting.

"HAH! They don't look tough at all! The lioness isn't half bad looking either. The lion though...breh those are some ugly scars." Nuka cackled. Kovu looked a tad bit concerned. Scars meant survived battles. Survived battles meant, big problem for the outlanders. It meant that this lion had experience.

"Tani, any ideas on what to do? Do we intercept, or wait?" Kovu asked his older half sister.

Tupa laid un-elevated, and squinted her purple eyes to gaze around the vivid unknown lands. "Indeed I do." Saying before sniffing around, catching a scent in the sapped winds. "Someone is around but the dry, hot winds are blowing it out of track." Growling, lifting her pale head again and swishing her white tufted tail which let out with puffs of dust as it flicked the air.

Moving forward she caught the smell again, slightly moving again and catching it again. "It's here, yet not to close. They are watching us, silently and quietly." Getting all of this from the little bits of information he caught in the wind. Half smiling, then laughing. "Will we kill?" Cackling like Baya, yet higher pitched. Eyeing Baya from the corner of her eye.

~~

Vitani thought for a moment, then smiled. "Just wait, dear brother. They can come to us." Eyeing the lion with the many scars and slightly feeling afraid, but shaking it off and squinting her eyes at the lioness with him. "Look Nuka! We got a fighting partner for you and possibly Kovu!" Getting a laugh at the thought of the lioness quivering of fear under her brothers and begging for life.

"Now don't forget what skills mother has trained us for. We are going to need them." Walking backwards with her brothers then hiding in different, small termite caves. "Now you two, stay quiet." Slyly creeping into her hiding spot and listening for the foot steps of the heavy intruders. While her brothers probably just waiting for her signal.

Baya sniffed the air and began cackling madly. "There's more than one! Hahahaha! I can't WAIT!" Baya snarled as he pushed past Tupa, beginning to run towards the scent that meant battle. Judging by the strength of the aromas, there was two males, and possibly a female. He relied on his nose alot at night, and thus had developed it along with his hearing throughout his life. Great assets to avoid ambushes.

Tupa's eyes widened as her father figure and mentor just pushed past her to get to battle. She let out a tut, and began to follow after him quickly. Sometimes he was so unpredictable! She tailed Baya up a narrow slope of the cliff, with a serious look on her face. There was a great fierceness in her magenta eyes. The trait that pretty much saved her life in the desert. The trait that made Baya care enough to raise her.

Baya began to snicker. "Come out where ever you are! Do lions in this land usually cower like mere vermin!? I promise I'll kill you swiftly!" Baya cooed as he got up onto the side of the cliff, his chest heaving for breath after just sprinting up a very sloped road leading up to the cliff.

When Nuka and Kovu saw the lion begin running, their first instinct was to hide behind other termite mounds like their sister, and prepare for a stealthy attack.

"Baya! I figure there should be a rule about going head first into battle WITHOUT thinking!" Tupa suggested as she too had made it up there. She was also heaving for breath, looking around at the many termite mounds.

Kovu looked to his brother and sister's hiding spots, hoping they'd just stay put. This lion did not seem very right in the head, and it was never safe to fight someone so unpredictable. Then again Vitani and Nuka weren't too predictable either. Kovu hadn't beaten either of them yet. To Kovu's some what surprise, Nuka was the first to attack letting out a short roar as he leaped at Baya.

Baya simply turned and his head collided with Nuka's. Nuka hollered on the floor rubbing the tender spot that collided with Baya's own forehead. "Awh! Ow! That hurt! Not a good idea! Ah!" Nuka trailed off, rolling on the floor and rubbing his forehead. Tupa raised an eyebrow. This was no threat what so ever. This lion was just stupid.

Baya continued smirking as if he wasn't even struck. He showed no signs of pain or damage. "Well. Nice of you to make a move!" Baya snarled as he lifted his paw to strike the already fallen Nuka.

"No!"
Kovu snarled as he jumped from his own hiding spot and swiped Baya across the face. Baya roared in pain, but his grin did not fade. His eyes turned their focus onto Kovu now.

"Look who's come out to play. I hope you brought your toys."
Baya cackled he revealed his claws and dug them into the hard mud. Kovu was petrified, not knowing what to do. This was an actual fight. He was trained for this, and yet looking into this lions' eyes. They scared Kovu stiff.

Vitani growled as she vaulted out in front of her brothers, and cracked Baya across the face with her claws drawn. "Don't you DARE touch my brothers." Baya was on the ground by now and she bounced to him. "Nuka, Kovu. Take care of the female." Before turning to Baya again, and exchanging snarls and swipes at each other before tumbling all over each other.

They each drew some blood from the other opponent and fur was flying. Fighting was what she was taught for her entire miserable life while her mother favored Kovu and actually gave him baths occasionally. Therefore, driving her to force her raging in fights especially this fight, the hardest fight she has done in years. "You're... Pretty good." Saying between snarls, and bites. They rolled around, creating dust storms from the force.

~~~
Tupa growled and created circled around the males as they stood their ground, each one of them had their claw extended and ready to duel. "You'll never win, I've been trained by the best." Nodding her head over to Baya. "Your sister doesn't have a chance. He's the best, he's killed many." Manipulating the boys into giving in, and letting her kill them. "You see, if you give in. I'll make if less insufferable, if you don't. Oh my dears, you'll regret it." Still circling Nuka and Kovu, as they stay back to back watching Tupa toy with them.
"Baya there, will kill you in the blink of an eye. I will make sure it last long and you'll defiantly suffer." Pausing and lifting an eyebrow. "It's my say. I CAN kill you, and he WILL kill you." Sitting, and licking her paw. Loving the enjoyment of the boys minds being toggled and their sweat pouring down their fur. She hasn't yet looked at them without seeing though them yet, right now she saw shadows. Trying to see the details in their fur and eyes, first Kovu.
A typical lion, green eyes and black mane, handsome but probably cocky. Then to Nuka, his eyes were bright red and his mane was jet black, to her that made the perfect lion. Shaking her head, she saw through them again. Well just Kovy, Nuka just wouldn't leave her mind. "MAKE YOUR MIND ALREADY." Yelling while she swiped her paw at Kovu, making him scale a meter or two in impact.
Baya eventually pushed back from Vitani, with a feral snarl. Blood was trailing down from his right cheek, and dripping onto the cold land below. His smirk was still nice and wide, his incisors a tiny bit reddened from the short brawl him and Vitani had. "I'll give you this, you've already lasted longer than most females your age out in the desert." Baya said as he licked his muzzle. Baya looked at Tupa at the corner of his eye, and the two males. They still hadn't made much of a move.
"Those are your brothers? Mmmm. One of them looks VERY familiar..." Baya said as he thought for a moment, his smirk fading. He sat down, and tapped his chin. "I've seen one that looks like the green eyed one. Yes. He gave me some very helpful advice..." Baya said with a sigh as he could not remember who it was exactly. He smirked again.
"Regardless...Ready for round two?" Baya said with a tilt of his head as he once again stood, stretching out his claws. "This time, lets skip the warm up." Baya murmured as he jumped at Vitani once more. They rolled around once again, biting and snarling. No blood was spilled this time, and eventually Baya ended up dominant. His years of experience did give him an edge. With Vitani at his mercy he snorted.
"You were well trained...Your experience is what is lacking." Baya muttered into her ear. He then released her, and stepped back with a bored expression on his face. "I'd like to meet who trained you. I think THAT would be an interesting fight!" Baya said with a grin.
//
"Kovu! Mom's gonna kill me if you get hurt! Stay out of the way!"
Nuka growled to his brother. "Little termite..." Nuka added with a hint of annoyance in his tone. His eyes locked with Tupa's, not liking how full she was of herself.
A growl rumbled in Nuka's throat as he jumped at Tupa, hoping he'd get a shot in this time.
Vitani smiled, "She's right behind you." Growling, side smiling at her mother who came to the dust storms knowing her cubs were out there. "Meet my mother, Zira. She trained me, Kovu and Nuka to kill the Pridelanders. Therefore making me able to kill you." Kicking Baya off of her, she ran over and stepped on his neck. Allowing little air the flow through his neck.
"Did I do well mother?" Looking up at her mother briefly then back down to Baya. Smiling she increased the pressure on his neck. "Shall we keep? or kill." Asking her mother, who made all the decisions around the Outlands.
~~
Tupa's ear flattened as Nuka hurled himself at her. She then snarled and swatted him away before he hit her. "Not such a smart idea to jump at me after all, eh?" Laughing and launching herself at Kovu, who seemed to be precious to Nuka. Kovu's eyes widened as she landed on him and started swatting at him. "Oh look, your poor brother is getting a beating!" Laughing, while swatting at Kovu with claws extended while she sat on his stomach.
"I hope you know, Kovu. That you won't be living for long." Saying just before Zira arrived through the dust. "MOM!" Kovu yelled under Tupa. She stopped swatting at Kovu and looked to her, imitating, but would beg for mercy if she had her precious cub. Picking Kovu up, she brought a claw to his neck and bit his ear. Hoping the lioness would back off.
Pridelander? What did that little phrase mean? He belonged to no pride what so ever. "Kill me?" Baya asked with a grin as he coughed. "You could've done that moments ago. I had many openings." Baya growled as he stuck his claws into her arms, in an effort to fight her push on his throat. He wasn't kidding when he said she lacked experience.
Zira did not look very amused at the scene what so ever. All three of her children, who were trained all their lives, were being bested by two ignorant rogues. She didn't know any greater shame. She growled as she looked to Baya, then Tupa who had Kovu at her mercy. "What is it you want exactly? If it's food, we have little to nothing. If it's water, there's a dying stream down this cliff..." Zira said boldly. This situation did not call for aggression. She thought of how Scar might've handled it and trying to fight was of no use.
"Food? Water? HA!" Baya coughed as he finally pushed Vitani off, with one strong and swift push from his back. He shook himself free of dirt, and glared at Zira.
"I fight for the sake of FIGHTING. Food and water can be obtained with trickery and deceit. Though a fight is for more than survival. It's for supremacy and domination. The weak die, and the strong survive." Baya growled as he bared his fangs. "Now which are you?"
Zira thought for a moment. Perhaps disposing of him was a bit irrational since he enjoyed battle. Perhaps she could manipulate him with that same desire for bloodshed, to their advantage. Then again, he could just be a danger. "I don't think fighting will be necessary. We wouldn't be much of a challenge." Zira bemused, her muzzle breaking into a deceitful grin. Baya tilted his head, in curiosity.
"There is a pride of lions that stole our land not too long ago, from beneath my beloved mate." Zira said with emphasis on beloved. "Then they sent us here, because we were few in number and weak from many days of battle." Zira explained, circling Baya slowly, examining him. He didn't seem to look like much, but those many scars were most assuredly from battle.
"Get to the point. I don't like wasting time. It could be well spent fighting."
Baya warned, his face holding no expression. Zira sighed.
"I believe we could...use a lion like you. Of your experience..." Zira cooed, with a smirk following after. "And in return, you will get the one thing you love. Battle. Those pride landers will be more of a challenge to you than any of us could be right now..." Zira said, hoping her bluff would sink in. They were more than enough challenge for him, she figured with their number, but she needed all the help she could get to go up against the pride landers.
"Hmm...a challenge? I don't normally give myself in to such silly bluffs..." Baya murmured as he then looked to Vitani. "But I accept your offer." He said with a grin, looking back to Zira. He then looked to Tupa.
"Release him..."
Baya ordered in a monotone. Nuka shook as he stood from being knocked down moments earlier by Tupa.
"Mother! We don't need them! We are more than strong enough to take on Simba! We don't need help from their kind!" Nuka blurted out, looking from Baya to Tupa with slight distaste.
"Silence Nuka. Now go back to the den with this one." Zira said pointing her nose to Tupa. "Vitani, take this one on a hunt. I'm sure you both have pent up energy now." Zira chuckled as she began to make her way back to the den.
//
Baya looked to Vitani in silence for a moment, then he stood and stretched. "Are you going to show me, or what? Or do you want to fight me again first?" Baya asked with a grin. Vitani was the name of this lioness. That was what Zira referred to her as anyway. Did she care to know his name? "If you can pin me again, I will tell you my name..." Baya offered, his teeth bared.
//
On the way back to the den, Nuking was muttering under his breath, not at all liking how these two rogues were now a part of the plan. His mother had almost no faith in him, so much that she was willing to get outside help! Help from complete strangers! Rogues at that!
"Pfft. You and that freak aren't anything special. Just you wait, mother will see that and have you both killed." Nuka growled at Tupa who wasn't falling too far behind.
Vitani glared at him, "Mother told me to hunt, and hunting it what I shall do. Just simply announce your name." Distracting him from her move to pounce and claw. "Unless you would enjoy me to pin you again, then okay." Head-butting Baya in the ribs sending him toppling over. Then she launched herself at him and stood over him, "Now, your name?" Stepping off of Baya and glossing her paw, keeping a watchful eye on the rouge.
"I'm going to the Pridelands to hunt, so I can show you what goes on there." Helping Baya up and pointing with her nose to the green lands on top of the cliff. "How do you get there you ask? Oh simply like this." Getting a head-start and bounding onto the limp tree whose branches pointed to the top of the ledge. She jumped and clawed the ledge, bringing her figure up. "Coming?" Saying as she turned around and regarded Baya.
~~
Tupa growled, "He is NOT a freak. Say that one more time and he'll rip you both to pieces. And plus, we'll fight your skinny Pride and win!" Snarling tacitly at Nuka who she was now beside, watching carefully to the petite lionesses and lions eyeing their every move. "So what are you, the Prince? Next in line for this dump?" Laughing, but still being serious to Nuka. Business meant business no matter who it was.
"What about you, runt?" Turning back to Kovu, who accompanied Nuka and herself. "Are you just kinda here? For no reason?" Wondering how things were around here and if it was different from any other Pride her and Baya invaded.
Baya smirked as he was knocked over with such ease. If she gained some experience, she could very well kill him. At last, he had found an equal! One that did not sit there and try to strategize, but just fight with proper instinct! His stay here was going to be very amusing. "Baya." He replied simply to her question, as he stood and shook his fur and mane free of dirt. He slowly began to follow her in silence his head kept low and his shoulder bones almost protruding out the back of his body. His eyes narrowed as he examined the lush landscape he stood upon.
"This is the pridelands?" Baya asked with a great look of disappointment. Creatures that lived here probably knew no hardship. Killing them was going to be far too simple. He could see why it was worth fighting for, but he was just in it for the fun. He looked to Vitani with an expressionless face, then to a herd of gazelle who were grazing nearby. He had never seen so much meat on a creature before. Though he knew he'd probably just end up giving half his portion to Tupa. He always did in the desert.
//
Nuka snorted. "He couldn't beat Tani! You saw her pin him! I'd like to see him try and take on mother too!" Nuka growled at Tupa as they entered the termite infested den of theirs. When Tupa asked who was prince of this forsaken pride, Nuka looked down, not making another comment. Kovu, not liking being referred to as runt by this out sider, glared at Tupa.
"I am the one that is to over throw the king of the pridelands. I am the heir." Kovu stated in a stern tone.
"Not even Scar's real kid..." Nuka muttered bitterly as he trotted off to his sleeping quarters. Kovu's ears flattened slightly, hating to see his brother so upset over the matter.
"You best be careful. The others aren't as patient as my siblings and mother." Kovu warned to Tupa as he trotted back to his part of the den.
Vitani smiled, "They're easy. Any other animal out of these lands would be a slight challenge. Yet, the meat on their bones is like heaven on Earth. So we accept it, and steal food." Laughing, as she pointed to the large rock in the distance. Which looked very small from where they were positioned. "That's what my Pride wants. That. A giant rock. I don't quite understand, but whatever. I just go with it." Pausing and looking at a fat gazelle. "Let's go." Saying quite quickly then bolting to the creature.
In it's nature, it started running away to escape death. It didn't run fast, as the stomach pulled the creature closer to the ground. It has had much food, and judging from the horns it wasn't an expectant mother. Vitani got beside the creature, "You're dead to me!" Then striking the gazelle with a single claw across the neck. Sending it hurling towards the ground, breaking it's own neck in impact.
"See, easy!" Yelling to Baya, who was across the field from her. Quickly, she picked the carcass up from the scruff and dragging it towards him with all her body weight. Indeed, it was far bigger and heavier than her but through years and months of training she learned how to carry things far past her own size. "Go catch something." Laughing while finally reaching their spot.
~~
Tupa laughed, "This runt? He can't even take on me. Come on! A full grown lion?" She kept laughing and slowed her laughing. "You'll perish in seconds!" Eyeing Kovu with a half smile, then turning to Nuka. "Why is it this kid? He's nothing." Whispering in his ear, and glancing with an evil smile at Kovu again. "Send him to the desert for one week. He'll grown stronger. Trust me." Telling out to the lionesses around, especially Zira who watched her closely.
Walking over to Zira, she had a little depth in her step. Like she was totally right. Getting up in Zira's face. "Send him, he'll grow stronger and you'll get your precious Pridelands back." Looking up at Zira, with a fancy smirk on her face. If she was right, little Kovu would have to fight for food and fight nearing lions and lionesses to fend off from being killed.
