Hope Keeps Us Moving [PRIVATE]

Re: Hope Keeps Us Moving [PRIVATE]

It took Ginny about a minute to finally jump, she struggled to rise above the water, there was a huge problem. Mermaids didn't swim like humans did, and Ginny was trying to swim like Angelica would. Her tail dragged her down, only she didn't know it.

Angelica spotted Ginny and took a deep breath. She went underwater, and kicked her legs until she felt Ginny on her heels.

Ginny was holding her breath, but she found that she didn't need it. But the sensation of sinking prevented her from using logic at this point. She could see Angelica, she however knew not to drag Angelica down. So she stayed still. Not sure what was the best thing to do.

Anglica once again motioned to Ginny, and swam and swam, the treacherous waters rocking her back and forth. She came up for a swift breath of air and went back down. She'd make it to shore. And even if she didn't, Ginny would.

Ginny finally looked down to her tail, and out of instinct she swam quickly, her heart beated wildly in her chest, the few emotions swirled inside of her, she made it to the surface and gasped for air she had longed for in the cruel ocean. She looked around for Anglica.
"¡Mamá! ¿Dónde estás?! Ayuda! ¡Por favor!" Her cries started to weaken.

Angelica heard her cries. "Ginny!" she yelled, "Over--" water spilled in her mouth. "--here!" The storm was too strong. She sank under.

OOC: Thanks! It looks just like her!

OOC: Your welcome.

Ginny snapped her head towards the direction of Angelica's strained voice, her eyes caught Angelica dive under. A new emotion flowed into Ginny, concern. She dived under, using her swift mermaid body instead of thinking human, hugged Angelica tightly, and pulled her up to the surface. It was hard, Angelica was what, in her late 20's? Ginny was not even 7 quite yet. "I got you..mama." She said weakly. She couldn't hold onto Angelica like this and keep her above surface, so she hugged Angelica's thighs, finding that she could survive in the water, and did her best to keep her up until she could swim herself.

Ginny had a light red tail, it glimmered like a newborn pearl in the ocean, even in the storm, it shinned. It was odd, really. Angelica was lucky. If she had killed Ginny before she was even born, she would have died today. If the pirate did not offer Angelica Ginny, they both wouldn't be here, above water, trying to make it to a island with a small town, struggling but living.

Ginny's strength started to fade.

Aquala's head shot up, "Sister," she nudged her sleeping sister, "Do you hear that??"

OOC: Thought'd it be fitting music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4W8gs87D ... ll&list=WL ;)

Arimia looked up and moaned. "What?"

Angelica felt the hands around her and felt safe; mermaids were strong. But Ginny was only seven. She had to help. She tried to kick her legs and paddle, but before long, she couldn't hold her breath. She passed out, hating her helplessness.

Ginny started to sink, unable to keep this up. "S-sorry.." She'd failed Angelica. She couldn't believe it, she failed the only person in the known world that mattered to her.

Aquala looked towards the surface, "I hear another mermaid, I think. Come on!" She swam swiftly towards Ginny and the spanish pirate.

Tamara was wakened as well, and followed Arimia and Aquala. "What are you doing? Those are people!"
"One is a mermaid, mortum!" A mortum was someone who did not recognize that it was a mermaid when they saw one. Usually the word was used on humans, but clearly, Tamara was worthy of such an insult.
"Do not call me that!"
