The simple fact remains: Disney would never give whiskers to a lioness. They want to make it blatantly obvious that the character is either male or female (especially with cubs).

Now, I know comics aren't exactly the greatest source, perhaps the artist just forgot Tama's whiskers...in every single drawing.
