personally I think she's Chumvi's cousin, they have a similar coloration.
but her name doesn't mean "to eat" in Swahili. the book says it means "eat", but -la is eat and needs something else to be a word. like "consume" is itakula and "food" is chakula. so I suppose it's a rough translation meaning "eat"
