As Vitani went along on her afternoon trek, enjoying the sound and feeling both of her paws shuffling against the grass in the Pridelands and the rolling hills. Vitani breathed in the afternoon air, like she did often, and playfully ran from the peak of the hill to the shady area where the waterhole lay. The lioness crouched down into the surroundings, moving her legs very slowly, to not disturb any prey in the area. Soon, she saw a wildebeest just about twenty feet away from the water. While Vitani schemed to make the wildebeest her next meal, she heard whispering noises of Kovu's cries, that obviously turned into screams when you got close enough to what was making the noise. It is Kovu! But what trouble could he be into now?
"Great!" Vitani said, loud enough for the wildebeest to hop away. Dissapointed in herself for chasing her brainless no-longer-her-prey away, Vitani got fully out of cover, as seeing the waterhole far off made her in the mood for a drink of water. Hopefully, that would calm her nerves down, and help her hunting instinct kick back in again.
Vitani walked up close to the waterhole, and her tongue extended out as she lapped up the fresh water of the waterhole in content. She drank for quite a while, and when she was done, she looked up at the water, hoping that today would be one of those days she could see her reflection in the waters. In fact, today she could, even though the quality of Vitani's natural self-portrait was distorted by the ripples that Vitani had left in the water when she took her drink. It looked like the usual, her medium-brown fur, large ears, blue eyes, and her hair tuft looking a bit messed up from her sleep, almost hanging over one eye. To Vitani, it looked fine, except for the ripples.
Yet, Vitani still heard screaming, probably from a lion..and in pretty much the same direction that Kovu's had come from. However, the other scream was a lioness, and a lioness Vitani had never heard before. She wondered if she should head to the Outlands and see what was going on between the two; after all, her brother always seemed to get himself into trouble. Plus, Vitani was once an Outlander, previously unwelcome in the areas she now lived her life so peacefully in.
As Skykara waited for Sirom to answer to her own answers, her ears and whole body became tense, as the noises grew louder, to a lion and lioness fighting. Sykara dared herself not to look around, get up, and join the argument.
"Hey, Sirom, you hear something too, right?"
