Is Vitani's Nala's cub?

I'd say Zira and another lion. Only because she doesn't look dark like Scar and she's not REALLY skinny like Nuka. I think any cub between Scar and Zira would end up sickly/skinny because they both look like that.

Officially, Vitani is the offspring of Zira and another lion. I like to think she's really Scar's daughter, though.

All lionesses seem to look pale. Each Outlander and most every Pridelander is. Does that mean each of their fathers was pale? I personally think Tani is the daughter of Scar and Zira.

I think Vitani is the daughter of Zira and another lion, I think that upon seeing that Nuka would not grow into a lion powerful enough to overthrow Simba. Zira then found a rogue lion so that she could acquire an offspring capable of defeating Simba. The result was Vitani. Shortly after her birth, I believe Zira cub-napped Kovu from some other pride.

Seeing as Vitani and Kovu are brother and sister (That might be the common opinion, not fact), it would mean that Vitani is not the cub of Nala. But even if she isn't Kovu's sister, I still think that she is Zira's cub, not Nala's.

I would say she is Scar and Zira's, but of course I don't mind other theories. I don't think Scar loved her very much or paid too much attention to her.

Well, if Scar never loved Zira to begin with, then, why would he mate with her if you say Scar is Vitani's daughter?


And, of COURSE NOT! I don't why fans like to think Vitani is Nala's daughter; is it because they both have blue eyes in Simba's Pride. Zira is her mother, and her father isn't Scar as Vitani never acknowledge Scar as her father in the movie nor in the deleted scenes. I offered my theory on the "If not Scar, who?" forum. Also, I read on the Zira page on The Lion King Wiki that there was a Facebook statement made to Darrell Rooney (director of The Lion King II) asking is Zira Scar's mate, and he said she wasn't, as she is just a follower. Finally, it would be out of character for Nala to abadon her own daughter, and plus, Nala would have not attacked Vitani during the fight sequence knowing she is her daughter.

Just because it's his instinct, he wouldn't need love to mate with a female lioness.

To add something to my opinion on this matter, it wouldn't surprise me at all if after the prides were unified. Simba And Nala came to love Vitani like a daughter. I'm not saying that they would adopt Vitani just that that they would think of her as more of a daughter than just another lioness of the pride.
