The lion looked at the two brothers as they spoke. When they finished, he nodded towards the other lion at the back, who promptly left. "Alright. If we will allow you to do this, we will need to go through some formalities that will seem unusual for you." The lion explained. "But what it comes down to is that we will know who you are and what you are doing."

Muroki couldn't help but wonder what formalities the lion was talking about, but it seemed like the only way to find out was to wait and see, so he just nodded without asking.

After a while, the lion came back. He carried in his mouth what looked like some pieces of bark, along with an empty shell full of liquid. He sat down the items in front of of Delano and Muroki. "Right, these here will allow us to keep track of you." He said.

Delano looked at the wood, unimpressed. "Uh, how will they do that?" He asked.

The lion looked at them. "Oh, right. You probably din't know. Well, you will need to place a paw in that bowl of liquid there, and press the paw on the bark. It will create a picture of what your paw looks like. No two paws are the same, so we will know who you are." He explained. "It allows us to keep track of all lions who work for us."

Muroki did what the lion asked. Pressing his paw on the bark, he looked at the lion, "How long do I have to keep my paw there?"

"Just a little while. Alright, that's enough." The lion told them. Muroki lifted his paw back up and Delano did the same with the other piece of wood.

"So what now?" Delano asked.

"Now? Now we find out ow well you fight." The lion said.

Muroki stared at the lion for a few moments. The closest thing to fighting he had ever done was wrestling with his brother, and the older they both got the less frequently they spent the time playing together. "Um... I don't think we're good fighters sir..."

The lion looked at them. "Well, then we're going to teach you." He said simply. "Look, it's going to be hard, and you will most likely be hated by the others, but you are right: we can use your help. If we can teach you how to do your job properly, and you get it done, it will be worth it in the end."

Delano nodded. "So when do we get started?" He asked.

"Wait here for now." The lion said. [/b]"It's going to be a while until I get you sorted in, but when I do, you will start."[/b] He picked up the bark and shell and left, leaving Delano and Muroki alone.

Muroki looked at his brother, "So... when he said hard... How hard do you think he meant?" he never thought what they were going into would be easy.

Delano smiled. "I have no idea." He admitted, laughing a little at it. "But I think we will not like it."

Still waiting, he also said, "I hope that we will be able to do something, and this won't be one big waste."
