Hope Keeps Us Moving [PRIVATE]

Re: Hope Keeps Us Moving [PRIVATE]

The pirate grimanced seeing these sea reports. More naval ships were closing in on small ports. This would be hard to manuver by. He moved his left hand to stroke the skeleton of a young unborn mermaid, the one that Angelica had given up. He let Angelica keep the egg, and the egg had hatched and it was a girl, Ginny if he recalled. Ginny saught Angelica like a mother, somewhat. But was too shy to be formal about it. He grinned, picturing Angelica as the mother goose. He chuckled as he went back to scanning the reports.

Ginny dressed herself in boyish clothes, thin under shirt, vest, britches. It was hot on the water as on land, so why be dressin' like its winter? Ginny had dark hair and brown eyes like Syrena, and a small build to add to it.

"Hola, Senorita Angelica. Que pasa? Will we port to Turtolga soon?" Ginny greeted, using formal and informal spanish.( It was a easy mistake, but Ginny always reffered to Angelica as "Senorita" or "Miss" no matter the situation.) Ginny had a soft voice you wouldn't mind listing to for hours on end. She looked at Angelica with her brown eyes, you could tell she rather adored Angelica.

Ginny spoke a mixture of Spanish and English, mainly english but she had begged Angelica to teach her spanish at a younger age, she should be proud, they were the only two capable of it on the boat.

[ Are these Philip's children? Two of the names I know are the mermaids from whitecap bay xDD And sorry for the spanish mistakes, I don't have my spanish keyboard on and cannot add the accents at this time]

OOC: I couldn't think of any mermaid names, so I just used those lol. And there's Aaron and another girl; do you want to be them?

"It may take another hour, cariño," she replied, "La barco todavía tiene agujeros,"

Syrena smiled at her children flitting about. How she was proud of them! Her mind flicked to the three that were gone. Two belonged to the pirate and Angelica, and one had died young. But she dismissed the thought, and swam to the surface to see Philip. He didn't dislike being underwater, he just preferred the firmness of land.

OOC: I can be one of the girls.
"Oh." Ginny replied, blushing at the cariño part. "How was your night then?" She was sad, she wanted a chance to swim. They [ pirate and Angelica] never let her swim alone.

Philip was resting on an island, his body half covered in sand. It looked funny. Aquala grinned, "Aaron you are too slow! Hurry up!"

Aaron nodded. "Alright." He swam up to the surface to see his father. "Hi," he said.

"It was fine, Ginny," she replied, "I slept well. Did you?"

Philip smiled warmly, "Hi Aaron, what brings you up here?" He leaned forward. He loved his children, he truley did. But loosing one and not knowing what happend to the second made him sad, not even Syrena could cheer him up when the sadness was at its worst.

Ginny frowned, "No, not really." She said with a hint of bitterness in her tone. Ginny had to sleep with the crew, the rowdy often drunk men that worked the boat. (Angelica had her own privet room, as well as the captian. Angelica's was on the right side of the ship, while the Pirate's was on the left. It was a somewhat spacious room. You could store big things in both occupations. ) "They started to play cards, that bull game, and shouted loudly and throw rum containers around." I call bull...it was a fun game. Not deadly until its players were drunk.

You could tell Ginny was tired since she had been too paranoid to fall asleep with the men drunk.

"You know, Ginny," said Angelica sympathetically, "I think you need your own peaceful place. I really can't believe I haven't let you sleep in my quarters yet, but I think that you may have a corner of it,"

"Well, I guess everyone told me to, so... here I am," Aaron replied. His dull red tail flicked back and forth.
"Daddy, won't you come down with us?" asked Arimia.
"Oh, yes, it's so much fun!" Tamara giggled.

Ginny was suprised, quite honestly. She wasn't ignorant, she knew that Angelica was the reason she grew up without parents, and the reason of two of her sibling's death. She was selfish, and this offer stunned her. But she didn't tell Angelica this, but Angelica probally knew that she knew.

"Thats awfully nice of you, Senorita. Are you sure you don't mind?"

Philip smiled, "Sure. But be careful, there is a storm comming soon." He explained. "Mama will protect us," Aquala pipped up happily. Philip chuckled and emerged into the water.

OOC: How much does Ginny know about her family?

"Of course not! I could use some company, and you need to be able to sleep! Go, gather your things,"

Arimia and Tamara flitted down as quickly as they could. Aaron took a slower pace, more comfortable for his father. "Do you... enjoy me? No one else seems to," he said nervously.

OCC: Only that she never knew them, but I'd assume Angelica would avoid talking about them at all costs. But surely Ginny knows shes a mermaid? Unless you want to change it where she thinks shes Angelica's daughter. Could be a very intresting lead.

"Yes ma'am." Ginny went to the quarter's to gather her things. It wasn't much. One pillow, the hammock, and the blanket. Her world possesions. Three things.

"Ready, Senorita." She said as she came back.

Philip glanced down to Aaron, "Yes, I do. " He stopped Aaron. "Your sisters and mothers do too." He put his hand on his son's shoulder.

OOC: I think she knows she's adopted, but never knew who her parents were. And I thought she wasn't allowed to swim, so does she know?

"Go ahead and arrange then as you please," Angelica said, "And maybe in Tortuga we can get something that makes your corner really yours. ¿Qué le parece?"

Aaron hugged his dad. "Okay. Thanks. I guess they don't act like that,"
Arimia tossed a shell towards her father. "Catch!"
Syrena laughed, and lay on the sea floor, enjoying the water and the sweet sunlight that came through the water.
