Simba glared into Kivuli's eyes, listening closely to what he was saying. The words that were coming out of this banished lion's maw were beginning to bug him to no end and with the possibility of more Pride members meddling in their private meeting worried him to a certain degree.
"Spending time in a war and training for two years still won't get you near the caliber that Nala and I have. You have to realize that both of us have been around longer than you and we had our share of fights. Besides, if you even attempt to come at me, my mate will pry you off without mercy. Trust me, you don't want to experience a bite from my mate." Simba declared, keeping a close eye on Kivuli to make sure he wouldn't sneak an attack.
After their small little argument was over, Simba's fuzzy orange ears perked up to hear his beloved mate mention that she wasn't going to leave him and wanted to stay by his side. He couldn't blame her for this course of commission, knowing too well that he would've done the same thing if he was in this sort of position.
"You're right sweetie, I just always want you safe. I would've done the same thing like you if I were in your position." Simba smiled and gave a quick wink in her direction.
With things fallen silent once more, Simba diverted his attention back to Kivuli and noticed he was getting ready for some sort of action. Not liking this idea one bit, the king immediately took a fighting stance and waited for a good opportunity to defend himself and most importantly, his loving mate.
"Kivuli, even if the odds are stacked between Nala and I, you will most definitely not achieve what you're going for. I really don't see any point to this fight you're longing for. In my opinion, it's a complete waste of time. I'm still giving you a chance however. If you back off now, I'll let you go. If you decide not to, be my guest and try to attack." Simba's amicable sounding tone rang out quietly, having no awareness that Kovu was close by at this point.
Sirom poked his head in the Elephant skull, having no knowledge that Sykara was taking a light nap. He almost felt sorry of startling the poor lioness as his innocent eyes caught a glimpse of her own eyes slowly opening. By this point, he quickly moved his head back and cleared his throat.
"Oh, sorry about that Sykara... I didn't know you were sleeping and well... I was just wondering where you were." Sirom replied in a nervous tone, swiping a fore paw across the dirty surface. His fuzzy brown ears perked up to hear a question coming from his companion.
"Shani? No... I haven't seen him at all, he's probably near the waterhole or something. He didn't tell me where he was going but that's just my guess." Sirom smiled and took a seat now, giving a good thorough look of the area he was currently in. This was the first time he came across such a place.
"You know Sykara, this is my first time actually seeing this place. You've been around these parts for a long time right? What made you come to this particular spot? Also... I was wondering, did you have a pride long time ago? Sorry if I seem demanding... If you don't feel comfortable of answering, it's okay. I figured since we're in the same pride with Shani, I thought it'll be nice to get to know one another better." Sirom's spoke nervously, obviously signaling that he was a bit shy when it came to casual conversations.
