The Kikapoya lands are connected to the Pride lands by a long flowing river. They are located near a just outside the desert. Though they get much rain, it's still really hot there. The king came from the Pridelands, his name is Mheetu. Yet, what happens when Mheetu's nephiew, Kopa is attacked and thrown in the long river to die? He arrives at Mheetu's lands, soon discovering Mheetu is his uncle.
He came in the beginning of a war; The Dark Lands King wants more land than he has ever been given and wants Mheetu's land. Kikapoya Lands belong to Mheetu, and he barley has enough land to obtain the amount of lions he has living there already. Of course, he says no. Causing the Dark Lands King to rage and start wars from time to time. Many natural disasters are in the Kikapoya lands all year around.
Kopa grows up, with 2 cubs already betrothed. Yet, the girl cub loves Kopa but Kopa is still hooked on Vitani.
Starts off when Kopa is just arriving in The Kikapoya Lands.
This basically describes the hard life of the Kikapoya Pride and Kopa missing his family a lot.
