Umeme frowned, but didn't pester on. "Alright." She lay down next to him. "Mind if I wait with you for him to come back?" She asked.

Muroki was silent for a moment, "Um... yeah, sure."

Lina looked at the two for a moment, "I suppose that two waiting for Kasi is enough. I'm tired, goodnight you two." she said with a yawn and entered the den.

Umeme watched as Lina headed inside the den. "Goodnight," she said as she also let out a yawn. After a while, she asked Muroki, "Long day, huh?"

Muroki stared down at his paws the whole time. When Umeme spoke, he forced himself to look at her so to not appear rude or nervous, "Yeah." he hesitated a bit before lying down as well, starting to feel tired himself.

Umeme smirked to herself. Lina was right. It appeared that Muroki was indeed nervous around her. However, not knowing what else to say, she laid her head on her paws and sleepily watched the horizon, wating for Kasi to come back.

Muroki just laid there without saying anything, looking mostly at his own paws but sometimes at Umeme in the corner of his eye. He was eager to somehow start a conversation, "So uh... Where do you think Kasi could have gone to in such a late hour?"

Tired herself, Umeme almost fell asleep several times before she heard Muroki speak up. "Huh?" She mumbled, but then understood what he asked her. "Oh, no I don't know." Umeme answered. "He usually doesn't leave the den at such a time."

Muroki again found himself taking his time before he answered, "Uh, maybe he's not feeling very tired." he was quiet for a moment, "I'm sure he's fine."

Umeme smiled despite her fatigue. "Yeah, he'll be alright..." she mumbled. Yawning again, she closed her eyes, but didn't feel awake enough to crawl back into the den. Soon afterwards, she fell asleep.

After walking for a long time to calm down, Kasi realized how late it was. "Oh, wow," he muttered to himself and started to run back. "I hope I'm not too late." His parents can get quite mad if he comes back well after dark.

It took Muroki a few moments to notice that that lioness next to him had fallen asleep. Not wanting to upset her by waking her up and suggesting that she went back into the den, he decided not to say anything. He took glances at her from time to time, thinking that she looked even prettier when she sleeped. He was so busy with that that he failed to notice Kasi when Kasi came into view.
