But what if you....oh I can't say! Then, Maua ran into the cave crying her tears out. She was thinking that if Ashar dies, her cubs won't ever see their father. Why don't he just stay. Maua soon was getting sick. She couffed. Maua then looked at her small, but wide stomach. Wonder what they'll be? Then, she thought of something. I can't let him go alone, I'm going. Then, as soon as he left, she followed.

Ashur had no idea that Maua was following him., until he stopped to rest. Maua?! What are you doing here? I thought you were staying back. You're pregnant, Maua! Go back..please! Ashur didn't want his mate to get hurt, nor his cubs. Ashur would die for all of them.

I don't want you to get killed! Maua shouted those words out. If you die, I die. And so will the cubs. Then, Maua smelled something. She raised her head up and smelled. I think I smell lions coming. Then, Maua smelled again. Ashar, I think we need to run. Then, she saw two lions coming, a male and female. Run!!!!! Maua started to run.

Ashur didn't run. He wanted to prove to Maua that he was strong enough to fight these guys. The lion and lioness approched him. The two growled at him. Ashur growled back and jumped on the lions back. Then, something happend to Ashur! The lion and lioness were too strong for him! The lion threw Ashur off his back, so hard that he went flying, his ear cut cut on a sharp tree branch, and his head hit a rock. Maua! Get help! Those were the only words Ashur choked out, as his whole vision went black. Ashur got knocked out cold.

Maua didn't want to leave, she didn't want Ashar killed. So, she jumped at them. Arghh! She bit the lioness. This lioness pinned her. What are you doing! the lioness said. Then, Maua looked at the lionesses grey stomach. So, your with a cub too? That's none of your bussines! Then, the lioness bit Maua's stomach. Owww! Then, Maua attacked the lioness. She bit, and scratched, and slapped. Soon, the grey lioness was beat up. Grr.Get out. Then, the lioness ran away. Then, a shadow was above her. Grr. You hurt her. then, the lion slapped Maua into a tree. Making her go out cold.

The lion ran away, and left both Maua and Ash out cold. Ashur woke up about four minutes after the lion ran away. Ashur got up, and then the first thing that caught his eye was Maua. Ashur ran over to Maua. Maua... Ashur said has he puther chin up with his paw. What did he do? He should have just ran! Like Maua, but no...he had to fight. This is all my fault! My fault! No! Why did...Maua! Ashur lay beside Maua his paw over her back and started to cry. It was night already! Then Ashur heard a voice. It was coming from behind him Ashur..son. Ashur's heart stopped. He looked behind him. Right there. Right now. Behind him, was his father! Ashur's eyes lit up and he found his voice again. Dad!!! Help! Maua! She got knocked out.. Help me! Ashur's father stared at him with his wise eyes. Come son, we will take your girl back. Ashur and his dad took Maua somewhere safe. They sat there and talked and waited for Maua to be awake again.

Soon, Maua woke up. Wha.... then, Maua saw Ashar and a strange lion. She thought it was Ashar's father. But then she saw he wasn't attacking him or anything. Ashar. Then, Maua nuzzled Ashar. that...that lioness bit my stomach. Then, Maua saw the scar on her stomach. I hope it didn't hurt them. Maua licked her stomac, making sure it was alright. then, she saw it move. I guess their fine.

Ashur kissed Maua on her cheek. They will be fine.. Ashur kissed her belly too. This is my father. Ashur turned to his father. Dad, this is Maua. my mate. Nice to meet you, Maua! Ashur's father bowed. Are you alright Maua?

Maua was suprised, he wasn't mean. Because Ashar said he was under a curse. I'm fine, and nice to meet you. then, Maua soon nuzzled Ashar's father. At priderock, it was a rule that you nuzzle the new lion you meet. Now Ashar, I have one question, I thoughtb your dad was under a curse. Maua was puzzled. She also wondered "where's Ashar's mother".

Ashur had forgotten all about that! He had to give Maua an answer quick...Uh, I think it broke! Maybe it did when I really needed him.. Ashur then wondered the same. Where's mother? Ashur then excused himself from his father. I wonder where my mother went! She was under the curse too!
