I have a GORGEOUS dog I rescued from Dog's Trust, she's an unusual mixture, a cross between a Great Dane and a Boxer, her name is Jade, she's 2 years old, and when I met her she'd been in rescue for 18 months, which is pretty sad.
She's mad as a box of ferrets (got some of those too... I'm animal mad!) and obsessed with tennis balls. She's the biggest dog I've ever owned, but a loveable softy. She's totally black except for a tiny spot on her chest and one of her hind toes.
Previous dogs I've had are a yellow Labrador called Jessie who died when I was two, a Labrador crossed with a Bearded Collie, his name was Freddy and he died when I was about fifteen, then I got a (wait for it...) Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen (a french hunting breed) called Archie, who sadly had epilepsy and a neurological condition that made him act permanently drunk, and he had to be put to sleep aged five just after Christmas this year, then I got Jade.
I have always had a dog all my life, the longest I have lived without a dog is two weeks between Archie passing away and getting Jade, which is a wonderful thing, dogs make a house a home in my opinion

I also very much advocate FERRETS! I am mad about my eight ferrets, they are ambassadors to the public AND racing ferrets, so if ever anyone has questions about these mad little beasts, ASK ME, because I could talk about ferrets for England
