After the Massacre (Open for OCs)

Simba's attempted coup has failed. Scar's legions of hyenas successfully put down the revolution with violence of a magnitude never before seen in the Pride Lands: no quarter was given, and those who survived the initial onslaughts were torn apart when the victorious King ordered that enemy bodies be disemboweled and left out to rot.

Not everyone was killed, of course. Some of Simba's core supporters surrendered and were summarily captured, tortured, and executed in short order. But some others who fought on Simba's managed to escape when the battle went from bad to worse to downright horrifying. They ran away from Pride Rock and kept running as dozens and even hundreds of hyenas pursued them--and after hours of effort, they managed to break away from their hunters.

Hungry, injured, and traumatized not just by defeat but by the disturbing nature of the violence they witnessed, the survivors have neither the physical ability nor the mental prowess to hunt. All they can do is rest for a few hours before moving again, this time until they're out of the Pride Lands. There's no guarantee that the hyenas' pursuit will end at the borders of their territory, or that safety will be found anywhere. But there are no options, because being found by the hyenas means death.


Obviously, the cast for this RP will be comprised entirely of original characters, as all protagonist canon characters have been killed, and all antagonist canon characters are chilling out at Pride Rock, reveling in their final victory.

Now, this RP is obviously of a fairly dark and grim theme, so I suspect that there will be a fair amount of conflict. Hunts will not always end successfully; there will be combat involving other alpha predators; and there may well be conflict between the survivors themselves as the weight of defeat sinks in.

Be aware that your character will not be accepted for this RP if he/she is young, old, weak, or brave/proud to a fault. Such individuals would have been wiped out in the massacre itself. Simply post a link to your character's description, or post a description here itself, and I'll let you know if you're good.

This rp sounds good and more pg-13 than most rps, me likey. And please discount the fact that my oc is brave, she is not overly brave, as if she were a bit like Nala in attitude, she tends to be quiet most of the time, so yeah, I'd love to be part of this project.

Well, I'm tempted to say no outright, but if you can convince me that there is a hyena who is pro-Simba or has some other reason to leave Pride Rock, then I'll consider it. I suppose it is possible that Frost and the other lion characters would accept a hyena who took part in anti-Scar operations, but you will want a character with a pretty strong personality, as he/she will not be treated so nicely by Frost, at the very least.

I would prefer that you keep it to one character, but if you really want to, I will let you play two as Kina said.
