Life lessons to hold back thanks to The Lion King !

I was 18 when I first saw Lion King (theatrically in 1994) so I didn't lean any life lessons from it. but the power and emotion of the story, has carved a special place in my heat for the movie (and it's characters) that will always be there. I was amazed at how a movie supposedly meant for kids could have such an emotional impact on an adult. It showed me that animation (even if it is kid friendly) is not something that an adult can not enjoy.

Personally I think Lion King is Disney's greatest movie.

I've never seen my dad so I cant really say that it helped me in that way. But it taught me that the past is behind you and you shouldnt look back. Look towards the future and who you want to be. And yes we all turn away from our familys at one point but we always go back to them because you relize you love them. Thats all I gotta say for TLK 1.
Afterwards, I think the exile of Simba is leading us to think that our family is as important as our father ! You know what I mean ?! I mean .. we don't have to turn away from our family, they will always be there for us
I disagree, some fathers do not deserve respect at all. And some famlies aren't suportive at all.

^ Agreed! My father was a drunk, thats why my mum left him when I was so young. And my family arent very supportive about my depression. They just tell me to stop moaning. I dont find it very fair.

Didn't really understand what the point of that was? That TLK sends mixed messages or that TLK sends good messages?
