(OOC: No worries! *Huggle*)

She wanted to laugh in response to Sarafina's words, although she settled for a twitch of her ears as she padded up to the waterhole. It was cool to her throat, although predators weren't really an imposing fear for the undersized cub - The entire pride hadn't seen hide nor hair of hyena except at the boarders for the last three moons.

(Huggles to you too :3)

Sarafina finished lapping up the water and licked her lips. The heat, little by little, increased as the sun's rays illuminated every corner of the land.

"Whew," Sarafina panted, "It's getting hotter in here, don't you think?"

She paced over to an acacia tree and rested in the shade it offered, which wasn't much.

"I'll be watching you, so you'll be nice and safe, Siri." she assured.

(OOC: If you want to bring Nuka in, feel free since you laid claims to him. He'd probably be about 9 months old in this timeline.)

Siri nodded at Sarafina's point it was getting hotter, but then, the sun was only climbing higher in the sky. The mute cub looked back towards the water as a bit of silver flashed through it, clay colored eyes giving it rapt attention now. Fish weren't conventional prey, but they could be fairly tasty sometimes if memory served correctly. It'd be interesting to see if she could catch it.

The ash gray cub scooted back a little so her shadow wouldn't fall on the water, thinking it'd give away her presence - even fish couldn't be that dumb. One small paw raised off the ground slightly, ignoring the heat soaking into her darker coat as the fish drifted closer. Suddenly smacking it into the water, claws coming out to hook it as she flung it outwards.

Water splashed onto the dry ground as the fish slipped from her grip, flopping around on the ground. Siri immediately pounced it, only to get promptly smacked in the muzzle with it's tail. She winced at the strength of it, nose wrinkling in surprise as she tried to pin down the struggling snack - Then another thought crossed her mind: Was she supposed to let it dry out, or did fish not have a typical painless point?

Sarafina was impressed at the cubs efforts, "Wow, Siri, great job catching that fish! You'll make a great hunter for the pride someday." she said confidently.

While the fish flopped about in pain, Nuka walked right up, past Siri, and stepped on it. "Thanks, cub, but this is mine now."

Sarafina wrinkled her nose in anger. "I'm sorry, but Siri caught that first. You can't have it. And where is your subervision, little boy?"

Nuka responded with a mean snarl. "I'm an outsider, I don't need mommy and daddy to watch me all day long. I'm smart enough to do what I want!" He boasted.

Siri's perpetually weak purr was as loud as she could manage at Sarafina's praise, only for the fish to wiggle out from under her with it's thrashing. The cub's purr stuttered sheepishly, starting to pounce it again when a much larger paw pinned it to the ground. The cub's nose wrinkled slightly at his sudden attitude, tilting her head. Outsider? What was he playing at? There had only been talk of exile, it hadn't happened yet - And she doubted it would unless Simba was given a reason.

Or was he referring to the fact everyone knew he was Scar's son? Still, it seemed strange for him to be steadily trying to drive she and Kopa away as of the last moon. Especially since he used to play with them a lot.

Siri's paw flattened the surprisingly strong tail of the fish as it tried to escape again, glancing up at the half grown male curiously. Wanting to know why they weren't friends anymore.

(Are you talking about Nuka?)

Nuka snorted at Sarafina, "What kind of lion even has these kinds of colors? Is your son a freak or something?"

(OOC: Yes, XD. I realized I forgot to put in the OOC that none of the outsiders were officially exiled. They simply aren't trusted right now, for obvious reasons ... And Siri is a girl. ^_^")

Siri's ears flattened slightly, snorting slightly. He was really laying it on thick now - Even if he didn't like her or Kopa anymore, calling her a boy?

( I know, I was trying to make it sound more spiteful xD)

"She's female, and she's not my daughter." Sarafina replied cooly, "But she's a very sweet little cub that doesn't deserve to be bullied by a mean cub like you. Now please leave us in peace or I'll get your parents."

"My parents don't care anyways, so why should you?!" Nuka burst.

(OOC: Hehe, I see. Well, I also updated the first post of the OOC thread.)

Siri shook her head, before poking Nuka's chest with her paw. Waiting until she got his attention, before shaking her head. Her mother didn't exactly care about her either, so what did it matter that Nuka's didn't? The ash gray cub reached up and ruffled his budding mane, affectionately showing that she still cared.

Nuka sniffled, too full of pride to cry. Sarafina felt awful for being crass to him. "... Oh. Poor thing. Would you like to... um, stay with us for a while?" She offered, unsure if Simba would accept an Outlander. Would Siri like him there.

Nuka nodded, "Just take me away from Zira..."
