Life lessons to hold back thanks to The Lion King !

Life lessons to hold back thanks to The Lion King !

Postby TheLionKingSimba » August 7th, 2011, 4:39 pm

Hello everybody,

This is the topic on which I want to exchange in order to retrieve opinions of each and everyone of you.
I think we all agree to say that TLK is the best movie ever made in the Disney's history !
But I think at the difference of other disney, he's deeper, in terms of life lessons, than we can see it at the first sight !
This is why I want to tell you my opinion of lessons to remember for our life !
First of all, I think at the death of Mufasa, we have to learn that our father is the most important person of our life and we have to respect him no matter what he can say and what he can do, as long as he does not hurt anyone.
Afterwards, I think the exile of Simba is leading us to think that our family is as important as our father ! You know what I mean ?! I mean .. we don't have to turn away from our family, they will always be there for us (normally, because some families are specials !)
Thirdly, the indecision of Simba and his questions on what he have to do, could mean we will often have moments of indecision in our life and in those moments, we need to have moment alone !
Obviously, the wisdom of Rafiki means we have to be wise like him and at each problem there's a solution !
The naivety of Simba on the real intentions of his uncle Scar means that one must always be wary even members of our family and that only in our parents that we can trust.

I have surely forgotten things but it will come back in the discuss. Are you agree with what I told ? Have you some other things to say ? Have you other things you think ?
This is a primer for the moment, no worries, Hakuna Matata ! :togetherness:

Ahaha... absolutely not. You're guardian, as long as they are responsible in taking care of you, is the most important person in your life. Father, mother, grandmother, grandfather, whatever. The lesson isn't 'father's best!' it's you should probably appreciate your guardians more because you never know when they're gone.

I disagree with a few other things you said, because I think TLK was trying to convey... different messages, but if you got positivity from it, it's all good.

EDIT: Fixed the quoting mistake.

Lol nope

Anyway, I've learned not to boast too much or someone will kill my father.
I didn't really learn anything, really.

In 'Disney's history' I think so, but of course Brother Bear comes close 8-)

When I was a kid, the only thing it taught me were the first 2 lines of Hakuna Matata so I could annoy my friends by singing it all the time.

Yeah you're right ! This is what I did mean ! In fact, I misspoke because I have got problems with my father sorry, but obviously our entire family is important ! And this is ambiguous but after I said "we don't have to turn away from our family, they will always be there for us (normally, because some families are specials !)", we could, with difficulty I agree, see the link between the two explanations ! But of course, it's what I did mean !

Which messages ? That could be interesting ! But obviously, that's not going to be a movie with bad values, the movie is for children anyway ! And this is why I want to speak about it ! Because we are older, and we can see deeper with the age !

Jiirani, sorry then ! I thought that by being here on this forum, everyone loved the movie !
And obvioulsy when I say "Disney's history", I talk about the first movie "Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs" until nowadays movies !

It's not problem, I kind of assumed that because it's the same way with me x3

Actually, I take that back because you can interpret TLK scenarios in a multitude of ways. So disregard that, please.

Most of us do love TLK, but now ponies have invaded :nukannoyed: Jk (kind of) but I think we're more here for the chat and the community. But there's a lot of members who enjoy TLK discussion :D
