Laini sighed, "I mean that they should not let the tragedy affect them for the rest of their lives. Trust me, I've seen some who never got out of their depression, it's horrible." she was quiet for a moment, "I will speak with the king, will see if anybody in the pride has any idea on what to do about the killers. But for now you don't have to worry about them, they're safe here."

Kasi looked at the ground. "Oh, I think I understand now." He said. "But another thing is that we don't even know who is responsible. How will the king be able to help us? He has enough trouble already to deal with." He said. Kasi didn't want to bombard the brothers with question when they woke up, so he wanted to find out as much as he could before that. In this case, just figure a few things out.

Laini sighed, "I don't know Kasi. Maybe one of the pride members saw anyone suspicious lately... Other than that, there isn't much they can do to help." she tried to think, "They told me they saw a group of lions in the morning and that their parents were found dead in the evening. It's a high chance that the lions they saw did it, but Muroki and Delano saw them from a very big distance, so that doesn't help a lot either."

Kasi knew that they wouldn't get much farther without talking to his cousins, and he wasn't even sure how much that will help. "So in the end, we don't know anything really." He finally said. "I just hope that we will be able to help them somehow."

Laini sighed, "The best thing we can do to help them now is to be here for them, to support them and give him space if they want it." Dakari could see the troubled look on his mate's face and put one of arms around her shoulder. She managed a weak smile but didn't say anything else.

Kasi nodded. "I guess that's all we can do." He saw that his mother also looked troubled. "Hey, mom, what was my aunt like?" He asked, hoping to lift her mood up. He knew that the news would also be hard on her, and she also needed help. Whether she showed it or not.

Laini took a few moments before answering her son's question, "She looked almost exactly like me." she knew that by asking what was she like he meant her personality, but she felt like she had to say it. "She was nice, and she cared about others. Whenever I needed her support she was there to give it to me." she fell silent for a moment, "She always tried to do the right thing."

Kasi knew that his question didn't help, so he fell silent. Looking outside, he was shocked to see how far down the sun had gotten. "Looks like it will get dark soon." He announced.

Laini said nothing and rested her head on her mate's shoulder, feeling comforted with him by her side. Noticing that she wasn't going to say anything, Dakari went ahead and spoke, "Are you hungry?" he said, looking at the two dead animals, "There's plenty, you can eat if you want."

Kasi shook his head and instead lay down. "Maybe later," he said softly and closed his eyes. "I'm not very hungry right now." Also, before he will actually fall asleep, Kasi will have plenty of time to think in quiet.
