Kiara smiled, "Whatever happened to you?" Asking, looking at the faint blood on his dark fur.

"Oh. It's a long story. But, if you want the short version, we were attacked by rogues. Only Folle and I survived." He sighed. "Kiara, where's Vitani?"

Kiara had a straight face, her body was mellow. "She's with Mheetu, somewhere near their den or somewhere." She answered, trying to be cool.

Simba stepped in. "Hopefully, Kovu, you and Folle will have a chance to meet Vitani. She's my sister and a great lioness," he said.

"Could I meet her now? Or is it a bad time?" he asked.

Simba sighed. "I don't know where she is at the moment, but when she turns up, you can meet her then," he said.

"Oh. So, who will you be inviting to be candidates for their mates? Royals, yes, but where from?"

Simba smiled. "From the territories surrounding the Pridelands. I'm especially hoping to find a good mate for Kiara so that she'll be protected when I've gone to join the great kings and queens of the past," he said.

"Are you saying her brothers won't protect her?" Kovu accused.

Simba shook his head. "No. I know they will, but it doesn't hurt for them to have help doing it," he said.
