Muroki looked carefully at the figures ahead, "Not sure..." usually patrol was done by lionesses. Whether they were lionessees or not there was no promising that they were from their uncle's pride or that they were friendly. For a moment it seemed like one of the figured was looking at them. Muroki looked at his brother, "We did walk for a few hours... Maybe we've arrived?" he looked towards the figures and again it looked like one of them was looking at him and his brother. "Do you think they saw us?"

Delano peaked up to try and see better, and quickly ducked down again before he can be spotted. "I don't know," he said. "But we will have to move eventually, and then we will most certainly be seen." He sighed. "So do we just walk forwards? If we have to fight... neither of us are in any condition to do that." He said. "But we can't just stay here forever." He added.

Muroki thought for a moment, knowing that his brother was right. They had to go in that direction eventually if they were to get to were they wanted. "Uh..." they were not in a condition to fight at all, not even run if they wanted to. "Maybe I'll go and you'll wait here?" it seemed like the best option that only on of them approached, and since it was his idea he should be the one to go.

Delano shook his head. As much as his brother was right, he simply didn't like the idea. "And do what? Watch you get slaughtered? If you're going, I'm coming with you." He demanded. "Look, I know that normally your idea would be better, but right now, it's not normal." He explained. "So I'm going with you."

Muroki sighed, "Alright." he knew that there was no changing his brother's mind when he insisted on something. He hesitated for a moment, taking a deep breath, "Alright, let's go." he said, walking and not bothering to look and see whether his brother was following because he knew that his brother was right behind him.

Delano followed his brother, both of them nervous. He tried to ignore his aching muscles and look normal, but not necessarily tough. Soon enough, the other lions spotted them and walked towards the two brothers. Delano felt his fear rise with each passing moment as the lions came closer. What if those lions were hostile? Delano and Muroki wouldn't stand a chance.

The lions, three of them, approached Delano and Muroki and stopped. They eyed the brothers wearily, but not with an apparent hostility. "What are you doing in our lands?" One of them asked.

Muroki gulped as the three lions approached them. The only thing that somewhat calmed him down was that they seemed like part of a pride by the way they were speaking. Noticing that his brother wasn't about to say anything he took a deep breath, "We're Laini's nephews." he figured that since Laini was the aunt that was blood related to them that he should mention her name. The subject of nephews however didn't seem to ring a bell to any of the three, "She leaves this pride every once in a while for a day or two and comes to visit us with her mate and son."

The same lion that spoke up looked at them curiously. "Laini's nephews, eh?" He asked. "Yeah I know her, but she never mentioned any nephews." He said. "Say that I don't believe you? What stops me from kicking you two out of these lands?" He asked them.

Delano's stomach dropped. "Th- then tell her that Delano and Muroki need to speak to her immediately," he said. "She'll then confirm us."

The guard nodded. "Yeah, I can give that message," he said. "Then I'll see if you speak the truth or not." He turned towards his two fellow guards. "Keep a close watch on these two when I'm gone. If they try anything, you know what to do." He told them and headed off. The guard wandered for a while, searching for Laini and her husband, Dakari. He eventually found the two of them stalking some prey. "Hey, you two! Can you come over for a second?" He asked them. The prey looked up at the noise and fearfully ran away upon spotting the lions. "Got a message for you. What was it?... Ah ye! It's: Delano and Muroki need to speak to you. They claim that it's urgent."

Meanwhile, Delano gratefully sat down, letting his joints rest. "Do you think it will work?" He asked Muroki. "And if it does, what will we tell her?" He asked.

Muroki also sat down to allow his legs some rest and looked at his brother, "What do you mean if it will work? Of course it will work." even if they're aunt was too busy to see them, she would at least confirm to the guard that they really were her nephews. "We'll tell her what she deserves to know of course."

Laini became slightly upset when the guard paid no attention at all and scared their target away. However that soon slipped out of her mind as he mentioned the name of her nephews, "Really?" she wondered what was so urgent that the two came that far, considering that they never came to where she lived before. Dakari looked at her wiith a smile and said, "Go, I'll go hunt something for us in the meanwhile." she chuckled and then looked at the guard with a nod, silently telling him to lead the way.

The guard nodded and lead Laini back to the two newcomers. "Here they are," he said and went of to rejoin his two comrades. He nodded to them. "Their story checks out," he told them. Turing back to the newcomers, he said, "We're done here. Stay out of trouble and good luck." The three guards left to continue on their work.

Delano looked at Laini, trying to find the words to tell her why they came. But all that came out was a "Uh... h- hi." He tried desperately to form a more coherent phrase, but couldn't.
