Kivuli looked down at Shani and smiled before standing up on his rock, his red eyes still looking down So now you talk to me. Only took about half an hour Kivuli then bounded down from his rock and began to walk over and circle his king As for being usful my nose is always open for something out of the ordinary, what more do you want? Kivuli's tone was sarcastic and a bit playful as his large grey body stood next to Shani's with those red eyes watching the kings moves

Shani watched impassively as Kivuli hopped down to meet him, then relaxed into a less formal stance as Kivuli spoke with a playful edge in his words.

"For one thing you could spend more time with the rest of the pride" Shani sighed, shaking his head and resigning himself to the obstinate lion's plans. "So what new and exciting discoveries has your legendary nose uncovered for us today? If anything of course." In response to Kivuli's disconcerting circling Shani laid down in a carefree flop to the ground and casually broke eye contact. His tail flicked idly up and down to discourage the bugs that were slowly coming out in anticipation of twilight from landing on him.

Janus smiled at Uzuri's ageless words of wisdom. She lifted up her front paw and softly batted Uzuri on the nose. "That old? Really"? Then, Janus turned her slender back to the other lionesses and lion again and watched the bright sand along with the waves. The young lioness loved the waves and their continous motion that never seemed to stop or fail.

"My faith in Umi shall never shatter...."

Those were the recent words of Mhnidi, and Janus's whiskers drooped again, as for what she considered her lack of spirituality in anything. What if something happened to Mhindi? Who would take his place?

Janus slowly forgot everything as she slowly lied down on the grounds and began to sleep.

Laughing from Janus’ playful display, Uzuri nodded as she spoke in an amused voice.

”Yes, well, this old lioness needs herself a drink. Off to the river.”

Gently placing a paw atop Mhindi’s, Uzuri whispered softly to him before she took her leave.

”Only one more day. Stay strong my king. Oh, and talk with your sister, okay?”

Giving Janus one last glance, noting the way her expression had changed once more, Uzuri sighed to herself as she left the siblings to their own accord, making her way out of the peaceful scene to which her pride members were at, on route to the river that flowed down the rocky mountainside. This was always a dangerous trek for any of them to take, seeing as the river adjoined the territories of both The Coastlanders and Ridgelanders. Keeping a cautious eye out for anything or anyone, Uzuri arrived at the base of the flowing river, dipping her muzzle down to take in some of the cold water, quickly lifting it out as she scowled to herself, the distasteful flavor of the water meeting her tongue as she gazed up the rocky slopes.

It was bad enough that The Ridglanders stole their kills, but the fact that they did everything in their powers to make life for her and Mhindi’s pride, a veritable living hell, made Uzuri’s neck fur stand up on end. Trying to dismiss this fact however, the elder lioness returned her muzzle back into the river, lapping slowly at the flowing water as she thought about what Mhindi and Janus had both told her.

Mhindi nodded as Uzuri walked past him. "I will." He whispered. Noticing his sister had fallen asleep, he walked down the rocks to the other lionesses of his pride. Most of them were sleeping as well, but two of them looked up and smiled at him. He returned the facial expression and said, "Would you two mind following her? I don't feel comfortable with her going off alone. Especially with night falling so soon these days. She's at the river."

"Sure, Mhindi." One of them said. They got up and started to head to the river. Mhindi watched them until they were out of view.

Kivuli walked off to the waters edge. His large heavy paws left clear prints in the sand. The grey lion then mocked the king 'Maybe you should join the rest of the pride' Ha dont make me laugh. You maybe king but yo do not control me The grey beast then splashed a load of water over Shani, drenching him. Kivuli laughed hard HAHAHAHAHA you need to lighten up

Upon hearing the sounds of the footsteps of the two lionesses going away to watch Uzuri's way to the river, Janus's head popped up a tad, and she regained her conciousness as the focus of her eyesight sharpened once again to what it usually was. As Janus tilted her head in the direction of the river, she saw the three lioness's figures drift off. She sighed, looked back to where Mhindi was, yet...didn't want to go back to sleep. Sure, it was what practically all of the Coast Pride right now was doing, but Janus felt like she should do something else right now. But what, exactly? Her mind was boring itself, and even the slightest shine of the sun that was left irritated her. Jan, don't be picky on yourself. It's just the sun..

Janus finally decided to just kept up on all four paws and walk a few steps under the shade of a one-sided wall made out of sand. She had starting building the wall out of fun a long time ago, and even though the wall wasn't much taller than Janus herself, she enjoyed going there for general shade and time to herself.

Going down in a sort of sleeping position again, Janus closed her eyes so that they were half-shut, and barely paying attention to her surroundings. All she wanted to do is just wait for Uzuri and the other "guard" lionesses to get back from the trip to the River.

[OOC: I need a sense of location, I'm rather confused here, even though it's probably just me not looking at some detail. But exactly how far are the two seperate Prides away from each other right now?

[[OOC: in my own posts, I've set my surroundings up this way. There's the coastlander's area, which is a small and sheltered cove, full of plant life and white sand. It's away from the fierce waves of the ocean that batter against the ridgelander's area. The ridgelanders sea-shore is a towering series of cliffs, with little sand. From the cliffs ridgelanders can look down and see the coastlanders' cove in the distance. Both prides have land that extends back from the shore, and the division is loosely marked by the stream, with the ridgelanders taking the upper portion that is more in the cliffs and mountains while coastlanders have the lower part. So right now the two prides would be out of shouting distance. I've taken quite a bit of liberty in this, and I hope you don't mind Moka =) Feel free to change anything as necessary to fit the story.]]

Shani spluttered, more from the surprise and indignity of the act than the water that sprayed across his face. His surprise lasted only a split second however before turning into deadly purpose. A king couldn't let such an insult pass. As Kivuli took the opportunity to start laughing at his king's indignity, Shani covered the distance between them in a few short paces and battered Kivuli's shoulder in a tackle that sent the ridgelander stumbling into the ocean. A passing wave drenched Kivuli up to his chest. Shani planted his feet in the sand and stood in a half-combat stance.

"The next time you challenge me," he said slowly and venomously "you do it properly. I'd be more than happy to give you a sound beating. Or I could exile you if you're too much of a coward to face me."

As the grey lion approached the stream he could make out two figures that seemed to be Shani and Kivuli further downstream. "Geez I got up to a late start today," He mumbled to himself as he began to walk down to join his pridemates. He walked up to see Kivuli splash his leader and recieve a snarling threat. "Hey woah guys hold up now," He said cooly, padding up from behind them. "Why fight amongst ourselves when we can just save it for those coastlanders over there? Now," He grinned slightly, "Why don't you two just kiss and make up?"

Kivuli's laughter was short lived before Shani's outburst towards him. Kivuli stopped laughing and looked at his king. Shani you really need to learn to chill out, im just playing around. Whats got into you, your so grumpy these days

Kivuli then heard the sound of someone else joining them. It was Hokori, a good loyal member of the pride. The two of them were quite good friends. Hey I am all for being friends, but Shani is just so tense. As for those coastlanders I would love the chance t rip them apart
