Shendu, after freeing himself from his dimensional prison had found himself in Africa. He had teamed up with the monkey Tublat, who was reeling from his latest defeat against Tarzan. The two decided to join forces and soon found Tai Lung and Scar's group, waiting until the argument was over before approaching them.

"I am Shendu and this is Tublat. We'd like to join your group of villains." said Shendu.

"Yes. We'd like to get rid of our enemies, and figured joining your group would be the best way. And we'd help you destroy your enemies as well." said Tublat.

"Can you guys, help defeat a lion? I think not, you are a mere monkey, and I don't even know what this Shendu is." Scar said.

Tai Lung stepped forward. "We'll need all the help we can get," he said.

"Fine. As long as Simba dies." Scar settled.

Tai Lung turned. "You'll get your wish, as long as Po, Tigress and Shifu die," he stated.

"Don't worry I can kill them." Scar replied.

Tai Lung looked down. "Shifu and Po perhaps, but Tigress is a talented fighter for someone her age," he said.

"I'm a dragon. I may be the last one, or maybe there's others in hiding. I don't care. I just want to crush my enemies. And as for lions...."

Shendu roared letting out a blast of flame from his mouth and laser blasts from his eyes into the sky for a few seconds before stopping. He turned back to face the group.

"It won't be a problem." said Shendu, chuckling.

"I've defeated leopards and panthers that attacked me in the jungle. I can certainly handle lions." said Tublat.

"It's that hairless runt I can never seem to destroy." thought Tublat.
