[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Chaka was already lying in the den, resting his head on his paws. He smiled as his parents talked about future mates, the growing adoloscent was expecting a beautiful lioness, the one he had dreamed of since he was a young cub. "Hey Dad," Chaka whispered as his parents padded inside.

Kovu's eyes flickered to his father's left, preparing to jump beside him. After that, he would jump on his back and try to go for the neck. He leaped to Monstro's side...

Just as Simba was about to fall asleep, he heard Chaka's voice. "What is it, Chaka?" he asked.

"I just wanted to say sorry for the way I acted towards you the other night. Should've known I was talking to the king." he whispered. "Sometimes your mind really can block your thinking huh?" he sighed. "Well uh...good night." Chaka smiled sleepily and closed his eyes.

Simba chuckled. "Good night, Chaka. We'll talk in the morning, all right?" he said.

"Yes Dad." he said weakly. Soon enough his head drifted to the side and he was dreaming.

Chaka was running off into the desert, away from Priderock. The sun was just rising, and the sky was full with bright orange and yellow colors. Out of nowhere he saw a beautiful young lioness running in his direction from the east. At first it seemed like she was only a caramel mist, her dazzling golden eyes like diamonds. Chaka gasped at her grace, how swiftly she paced. "Hello..." he muttered as they came to a stop in unision. The lioness laughed, but it seemed to echo in his dream. "I was waiting for you." she whispered. The last thing Chaka saw was her eyes as the view darkened.....and it ended.

Simba was in the grips of a dream as well. He dreamed of his days as a young adult, when he was just Prince Simba, and Nala was Princess Nala. All too soon, however, it ended as well. Soon, the sun was rise over the savannah once more. It finally did. The first few rays of the sun brought Simba out of his slumber. For a long while, he watched Nala sleep. She was so beautiful, so serene.

Nala felt the sun's rays warm her face and her eyes opened slowly and she saw Simba's handsome face, "Good morning my love." she whispered lifting her head to meet his gaze. She gave him a lick on his cheek and looked at the quiet den, "Did you sleep well? Today Dyanna heads off back home aswell, I wonder how poor Kiara will do. Well..She can babysit Mheetu's cubs when they are born." she added with a soft smile watching the Pride sleep.

Mheetu's mossy green eyes opened wide as he yawned and he looked at Vitani sleeping at his side, he leaned his furry muzzle down and nuzzled her neck softly. "Morning my beautiful mate and cubs." he said his head resting on her back near her belly. His paws rubbed her furry belly and how large it seemed to grow overnight, he wondered how many were inside.


Monstro's weight shifted as Kovu moved to his side and the outlander King swiped at Kovu with his paws, "Ya see boy, I followed your eyes." he snapped and stepped back into position with Kovu in front of him. "Know where your going to attack me just don't show me!" he said in a growl. "NOW ATTACK!" he ordered. Monstro stood in a defensive position and his mustard yellow eyes seemed to burn into Kovu as he waited for him to make a move.

Simba smiled at Nala. "I think Kiara will be fine once time passes. Regarding Mheetu and Vitani's cubs, it will be good for Kiara to babysit them. It'll teach her what she needs to know once she has her own cubs," he said.

[If lions are 9 weeks and humans are 9 months... then Vitani is 3 weeks pregnant in lion time, and 3 months in human time.]

Vitani awoke and turned to look at her mate. "Good morning, Handsome." She said licking his soft cheek, then grabbing his paw and moving it to wear the cub was kicking. "Do you feel that?" Asking, as she smiled and looked at him. Their cubs were going to be the perfect arrival for the Pridelands.

Kiara awoke, still next to her best friend. Glad that she didn't leave in the night. Not trying to wake her, she inched slowly away and walked out of the den. "Morning Mom and Dad." She said, nuzzling them both.
