Simba chuckled. "Remember what my father told me. Wishing to reclaim the past is different," he said. He then thought for a moment. "No matter what, Kopa, Chaka and Kiara will always be our cubs," he stated.

Kovu growled, and jumped up on his fathers back, trying to get revenge. He went for the neck, like he was just taught, but fell off in doing so. Then he scrambled to his feet, and hid behind Zira.
"Kovu," she growled, nipping his tail. Kovu sighed, and offered himself to his father, waiting for the punishment.

Simba could tell that Nala was remembering when Kopa, Chaka and Kiara were born. He smiled. "I remember the day they came into the world. I also remember how nervous I was while waiting outside the den," he said with a small chuckle.

Nala chuckled she leaned her muzzle forward and gave Simba a lick on his cheek, "You were more worried then I was.." she said with a smirk. Her blue eyes gazed up at Simba and she nodded, "You're right my love. They will always be our little ones and finding each of them a mate will be a tough decision." she added.

Monstro let out another growl and his mustard yellow eyes narrowed at Kovu, he inched closer to his face. "So you did a pathetic job in trying to attack me Kovu." he snapped. His lips curled back as he flashed his fangs to the young adolescent, the blood stains discolored his teeth. "You can either be a killer or be killed...out here Kovu there is no in between." he added. "Second, when your not attacking your in a defensive stance.." he ordered. He nudged Kovu's body lower to the ground and moved his head towards his stomach, "Keep your eyes open and your ears ready!"

Simba nodded. "Soon, I will put out a call for two princesses and a prince to come and meet Kopa, Chaka and Kiara. I promise I won't send them far away like my father did Vitani," he said.

Vitani smiled as Mheetu pat her stomach. "Let's go to sleep now." Smiling, as she lead him away. "Dyanna, if you wish to spend this time with Kiara, you can." Looking at the young lioness, knowing how it felt to leave her friends. They started walking to the den. Again, Vitani had to slow as the walk was hurting her.

"Dyanna! Come sleep next to me!" Calling out to her best friend, Dyanna. This was her last night with her and she wanted to be close to her.

Simba looked around and saw that it was getting late. He looked at Nala and smiled. "Well, my blue-eyed dream, would you like to return to the den?" he asked.

"This is a stupid pose," he muttered under his breath. "Okay. What next? How do I protect my neck, face and stomach?"
Zira smiled as the two got along, and slunk into the cave.

Mheetu walked slowly and saw Vitani wince in pain, "Are you okay?" he asked wearily. He cleaned off some dirt in their den and then laid down so she could lean her weight on his warm body. "I'll be like your throw rug so you don't have to sleep on the hard ground." he said with a chuckle. He nuzzled Vitani's neck and smiled big. He was going to be a dad, the thought overwhelmed his mind.


Nala lifted her paw and she pushed Simba's head away playfully, "Still a charmer.." she chuckled. She walked beside Simba and laid next to him in their big den. She snuggled into his side and thought a moment, "The mates for our cubs have to be good choices you know. But they have to love them Simba.." she added gazing up at her mate.


Monstro chuckled, "Well boy if you keep your guard up you can protect them all the same time. You need to watch your attacker's eyes..." he instructed lifting Kovu's head a bit. "The eyes can tell you where they are going next. Well Kovu attack me.." he said lowering to the ground and watching him closely.


Dyanna ran over to Kiara and laid down near her a frown over her muzzle, "i'll miss you..." she whispered softly. Her bright eyes were tearing up again, she knew this was going to be harder then when she left her own home. But she missed her sister and sometimes there came a time when you had to go.

Simba held Nala close to him. "Don't worry, Nala. I already promised Kiara I won't make her marry someone she doesn't love, and the same goes for Kopa and Chaka. On the other end, I will chase away any potential mates who won't love Kopa, Chaka and Kiara for who they are," he said. He then licked Nala's face gently. "Good night, my love," he said.
