The Forest on Elk Ridge (Always Open)

Seeing the puma had startled Vesir, making his memory surface, and one sudden jerk of his leg caused him to fall to his death.

The puma hissed viciously, "I'll take the big elk and be on my way..." she said, her speech long and drawn out.

Lyco's eyes narrowed. "You will do no such thing. I, the daughter of the mighty Thor, will stop you!" she stated.

[Misiziri]

The puma was more than a match for Lyco, but Thor might be able to take her on. But she was clever! She slid like a shadow out of view into the void of black in the forest.

Thor heard the whole confrontation and came over. He followed the puma into the forest. "What are you doing here?!" he demanded.

[Zoketi]

Zaru jumped into a tree, scenting puma nearby. She clawed up the trunk and held on a branch.

Rzu wiggled, trying to free himself. He finally dropped out, and lay wealky on the ground. Rzu turned to look at Vesir, and he closed his eyes in grief.

Aleeni sniffed Vesir sadly, then backed away from the puma. She watched Lyco talk, and then the puma raced away. Aleeni narrowed her eyes, guessing of some trick.

The puma was far from Thor's sight, but watched him in the cover of the shadows. She said nothing.

Thor continued to follow. "Come out and face me!" he ordered.

She knew that the wolf would play the 'you're a coward if you don't show yourself' card eventually. A horrific smirk spread across her face. She darted farther into the woods, only making the slightest of sound.

Thor continued to search, but decided to head back when he didn't find the puma.

Vesir was dead, having suffered the same fate as Elyara. The female calves sniffled, tears running down there cheeks. One brave doe stood up.

"Vesir can't be with us anymore. He was an excellent leader in his time. Being his cousin, I am next in line for leadership," Soerca affirmed.
