Ahadi and Uru's Story (Private, KK44 and FlamingBee)

As Zuzu flew to the Far East of the pridelands, she thought of all she had learnt that day; these princesses that King Mohatu had organised would surely test Ahadi's feelings to the limit, decide once and for all whether this was love. She flew through the cold night air, thinking of the problems in the Pridelands the entire journey; something was bound to go wrong...

Meanwhile, Ahadi was awake. He decided to speak to his parents once again. "So, what's going on?" he asked.

Mohatu blinked sleep from his eyes as he heard his son's voice; "Ah, give me a second to wake up properly, my boy," He stretched, letting out a great yawn. Then he saw the Sun had barely risen over the horizon; "Why are you up so early?"

Ahadi sighed. "It kind of happened," he explained. Just then, something dawned on him. "Why isn't Zuzu here?" he asked.

"Ahh well, why don't we step outside before we wake the whole cave up, and I'll explain it all!"

Ahadi nodded. "All right, let's go," he said.

As the two walked out of the cave and settled on the ledge of Pride Rock, Mohatu thought how to phrase his words. "Ahadi, your mother and I have noticed your rather obvious affliction for the lionesses, ever since the death of you betrothed..." He paused to let this sink in; "However we both believe it is time for you to put the past behind you and move on. A king needs a queen by his side. Your mother came with an ingenious idea last night, and as soon as I heard it I had to put it into action! Once each month, a princess from one of the far away prides is to visit here and be considered for your betrothed; you'll be bound to like one of them! So now you can start searching for a queen..." He smiled, awaiting his son's response.

Ahadi sighed, trying to keep the thought of Uru from his mind. It wouldn't do if he protested and mentioned her name. "Fine. I'll meet them," he said.

[FlamingBee]

Mohatu beamed; "Excellent! I knew you'd see sense! The first princess should arrive in a matter of days..." He put his paw on Ahadi's. "I appreciate this, my son." And then he turned back to the cave; "You coming back to bed?"

Ahadi nodded. "I will in a moment, Father," he said.
