Ahadi and Uru's Story (Private, KK44 and FlamingBee)

"That may be exactly what she wants you to think, child," she spoke softly, sympathetically.

Uru bristled at the hornbill's words.

Ahadi stood up. "She's different, I tell you!" he shouted.

[FlamingBee]

"Control that wretched temperof yours! Honestly, I watched you grow from an adorable cub; you'd think I get some appreciation for that?" Zuzu didn't raise her voice, but remained calm; she knew that was the best way to go with Ahadi.

Ahadi took a deep breath. "I'm sorry, Zuzu. It's just that I need to find a queen," he stated.

Zuzu's eyes widened. "That's why you wish to see the girl!?" She'd thought hehad wanted some company for a change.

Uru's jaw dropped as she heard these words too, but she took a deep breath; surely he meant something else.

Ahadi looked around. "Zuzu, I fell in love with her the moment I saw her. She's unlike any lioness I've ever seen," he stated.

Zuzu shook her head in disbelief; "But you're a known womanizer, lad. How can you be in love with someone you've met once?"

Uru, too, shook her head; what was he talking about!? They'd only talked properly for a few moments and he was in LOVE with her!?

Ahadi shrugged. "I've heard of it before. It's called love at first sight. My parents talked about it with me and told me that it happens sometimes," he stated.

"Pfft, that's not real!" Uru clamped her paw over her mouth; had they heard her? She'd need to get away quick if they had.

Ahadi looked in the direction of the voice. "Uru? Is that you?" he asked.
