The Forest on Elk Ridge (Always Open)

Nobody spoke of a place.

"Alright. We're going past the other side of the mountain. We'll travel east around it, the opposite place from the attacks. Once on the other side, we'll head north to the forest that's not on the mountainside. This'll be a long migration, but the calves can handle it. Resora will be on lookout, the rest of us are aware of our duties. No time to waste. Let's go."

Thor stood before the other animals. "Yes. We must go. We have no choice. However, I must get my pack," he stated.

Vesir remembered. "Right, Thor. We'll wait for a few minutes, but do hurry..."

Aleeni glanced at Vesir. She trotted towards the herd, flicking her ears. Aleeni turned back, waiting for the wolves. She stepped over a rock and her mind filled with intriguing thoughts.

Rzu slithered off the log and over to the elk leader. "Mind if I catch a ride?" He asked, gazing up at the deer's antlers.

Vesir was feeling generous. "Okay." he replied simply.

He lowered his head and his enormous antlers touched the earth.

Thor howled, and soon, his pack, led by Bianca and Lyco, came running to him. "Now we can leave," he said. Lyco was confused. "Why are we leaving?" she asked.

Rzu slithered quickly on, where he curled tightly around a few of the antler branches. He was careful not to squeeze too hard.

Vesir replied to Lyco, "Resora didn't come along rambling?"

Resora got offended, "Hey!"

"There were brutal attacks to the west. Not only that, this place is too harsh and I have 2 calves. Your father has to find you a suitor, and every wolf in the area isn't powerful."

Rzu watched the wolves with interest. He scented the air with a flick of his tongue. He shifted a bit on Vesir's antlers, trying not to hurt the elk.

[Misiziri]

Vesir said to Rzu, "No worries, I can't feel pain in my antlers."

"Alright!" He boomed. "March!" And so Vesir began to head east with the group behind him...
