The Forest on Elk Ridge (Always Open)

Thor went over to the bush. "Come out, serpent!" he shouted.

Vesir happened to glance to his left, "Yeah. There's a serpent all right. And it's dead."

Resora and Vesir peered behind the bush.

"GROSS!" Resora screeched.

Aleeni watched as the others left. With a sigh, she padded away, only to scent them again. "Well, boomslang?" She muttered, looking down at the snake that had followed her.

Rzu flicked his tongue. "A familiar ssssmell...." He spoke, peering through the bushes.

Resora flew away to escape the putrid smell.

"Too much death for me to handle. I need to return to my herd." Vesir said.

[Zoketi]

Aleeni stepped out of the trees, spotting Vesir ahead. She trotted towards him, ears perked with interest.

Rzu twitched his tail and slithered quietly after the female elk. His eyes scanned the forest floor, while the scent of the elk smothered the roof of his mouth. He was intensely curious about the whole going-ons.

Vesir walked over to Aleeni, "Hey. Nyule's pack was brutally attacked and now a herd of 4 elk. I think I... might take my herd and move somewhere else. I'd like to migrate out of Mt. Barrier's forest. Or maybe I'll get desperate enough to search for the forest inside the mountain, " he joked.

Aleeni gasped. "But..." She stammered, then closed her mouth. "You don't mind if I tag along, do you?" She asked shyly, feeling a bit awkward. Her hooves pawed the ground nervously and her tail flicked.

Rzu slid up to halt beside the she-elk. He peered at the male, interested, then flicked his tongue out again.

He thought about it for a second.

Pfoo... I have my hooves full. I have a lot of herd-mates to look after. Resora may help me keep an eye on things, but she's a little bird, what can she really do? But with all these brutal attacks I can't let a small doe just roam around her alone. She won't end up like Elyara.

"Not a problem, Aleeni. You can follow my herd for as long as you need. But you need to contribute. At least help me keep an eye on the energetic calves," he chuckled.

[Zoketi]

"Of course." Aleeni answered, dipping her head with a smile. "Better than being alone around here." She felt a tremor of excitement to be part of a group again, she had wandered for most of her life.

[Misiziri]

"Yep. The does are friendly, but the males get excited when they see new ladies," he laughed, "But they're nice. You'll be safe in my herd," he assured her.
