"Um...I don't really know." He answered lamely. He felt awkward and sighed.

Mwunga watched the pair make their way over. She was at least happy that Shomari was talking.

"Is because your too nice. You have a big heart. Do you want to try and find the rectangle green leaf, too? Or do need and want pride? I'm glad I am not alone. We three are a strange crew-"

"Extrememly strange. I ain't seen nothing like it. A scrawny female, a red zebra with speech problems, and a timid male," Brista commented. He now showed a large gash in his side. "That was pretty embarrassing back there. And I don't intend on letting you get away scott-free!" And instantly, he slammed straight into Mwunga.

Mwunga fell back with an outraged screech. She sunk her claws into the lion's side, scooting away from his large mass.

Shomari halted with a terrified expression. His instincts told him to flee, but his mind wanted him to help Mwunga. Without a second thought he darted towards the lion, landing with outstretched claws.

[Misiziri]

Velka felt brave. He reared up on his back hooves, and crashed down full force on Brista's tail. This Shomari's efforts made Brista scream in pain. One swipe of his mighty paw completely knocked Velka out.

"Ah, you little pests!" With his fangs bared, he attacked Shomari and aimed straight for his throat.

[Zoketi]

Shomari felt a rush of adrenaline and dodged in the nick of time. He sped around and sliced at the other male, while Mwunga attacked from behind. She sunk her teeth into Brista's leg and gripped.

Brista roared mightily and tried to kick Mwunga off, but Shomari was attacking him too effectively. He shook them off and took off in a hurry.

Mwunga landed on her side, but was up in an instant. She roared loudly after Brista, eyes gleaming with uncharacteristic anger. Shomari hissed softly and sat down to lick his claw marks. They stung immensely, but Shomari just gave them a few licks.
Mwunga looked around at Velka. "You ok?" She asked, ignoring her own wounds.

Velka was half-out, but fine. Brista shouted, "You; I'm coming back with my lionesses!"

Velka slowly opened his eyes, "I broke the fat male's tail. Are Shomari and you hurt?"

[Zoketi]

"No, not bad." Mwunga replied. "But that lion now knows of this place, and worse he's coming back." She added darkly, sweeping her tail across the ground.
Shomari let out a sigh and flattened his ears.

"We find a safe place to hide. Got any ideas?" he inquired.
