Ahadi and Uru's Story (Private, KK44 and FlamingBee)

She suddenly called back; "See you tomorrow?" She felt foolish afterwards, but it was too late to take it back. Besides, this lion wasn't so bad without the flirting...

Ahadi looked back. "Yes, tomorrow," he said before finally walking out of sight.

She smiled to herself; it wouldn't hurt to have someone to talk to, would it? She shook the thought from her head. He was only a bored adolescent, just like her; it'd do her some good to be away from he pride.

Finally, Ahadi arrived at Pride Rock. He climbed up to the den. "Mom, Dad, I'm home!" he shouted.

Mohatu walked in just behind him; "And so am I!" He chuckled as he nudged his son. "You should join on border patrol tomorrow, Zuzu isn't as quick as she used to be..."

The little bird fluttered behind him, a grumpy look on her face; "I've got two young chicks in my nest; can you blame me for letting my mind wander! You were the same when Ahadi was a cub!"

Ahadi chuckled. "Hello, Zuzu. How are your chicks?" he asked, trying to get his mind off of Uru before questions were asked.

The bird fluffed out her feathers with pride; "Hatched just a few days ago, boy & girl!"

Mohatu chuckled at how happy his majordomo seemed; then his attention turned back to his son. "Were you bored this afternoon then?"

Ahadi shrugged. "I just went for a walk. Nothing happened," he said.

"Really? Did you have any sightings of the rogue pride?" Mohatu narrowed his eyes slightly; he knew when his son was lying to him.

Ahadi sighed. "I saw that lioness, but I couldn't get her name again," he lied, trying to keep his promise to Uru.
