Baya's Struggle [Closed to Kopalover]

[O,O. Oh. My God. I'm just thinking Family Guy while I read this LOL. WHERES MY MONEY -kick kick- WHERES MY MONEY -hits with towel hanger-]

The broken male, cackled as he hissed in pain. It hurt to breath, and he could feel his vision blurring. He knew he wasn't going to die, but to be under this female's control. It was more agonizing then death. Having her nip his nose made him cackle. Was he ever this broken before? He had sustained a great deal of injuries in his past. Though none as great as this. The funniest part is, she still spared him. "You remind me of my mother. Giving me no options. Breaking me apart." He commented in a quiet tone. His grin had long faded. He reached out with his one good paw and placed it under Vitani's chin.

"I will obey. Though never think I am your ally. My life was in your hands, and you spared me. By a twisted work of fate, I feel intrigued by you. Though never forget, the paw that gently caresses your chin..." Baya growled as he unsheathed his claws and dug into Vitani's chin. "Also has claws..." Baya warned as a grin grew on his muzzle again. His eyes grew droopy at his loss of blood and the pain from his limbs and ribs were too excruciating to bear. With one last cackle, the rogue's paw fell to the floor from Vitani's chin. He was unconscious.

//

"Kovu, she's been away for awhile. It's almost sun-down...Don't you think you should go look for her?"
Kiara said as she sat with her mate in the den. The cub that was brought to the den was cuddling into Kiara's side for the warmth. Kiara had already given it a bath, and discovered it was a boy. She felt a bit of an attachment to the young thing, having no family or comfort. She felt like he would've become something awful if he was just left there by himself.

Kovu was looking at the entrance of the den with great concentration. He was hoping Vitani would just walk in through there already. He needed to know his sister and captain was ok. "Kovu. He's crying..." Kiara murmured quietly as she gently ran her paw over the cub's shaking head. His tears spilled on her fur.

"Must be thinking of his family...or his situation." Kovu said with a sigh as he too gently placed his paw on the cub's head. Soon, the cub stopped crying and was back to sleep. It was an odd sight if any.

"If the mother doesn't show up...would you want to keep him Kovu? He could be ours." Kiara said quietly, looking at the sleeping ball of fur digging into her side. A smile grew on her face. Kovu looked down for a moment, not knowing how he felt about it. It would never be his son. Though he felt very sorry for the poor thing. He seemed to make Kiara happy too.

"Of course Kiara. He'll be ours." Kovu said with a weak smile.

[LOLOL, I literally died from laughing as I read that. I love that episode! xD x) oh and just a question, is Baya already in love with her or will the love grow?]

Vitani sighed, she know had to carry a lion back to Priderock. Great, just what she wanted this early in the day. Grabbing his scruff, she started dragging his unconscious body back to Priderock. Her chin still dripping his blood, she didn't mind it, the feeling of the blood was just discomforting. Rolling down her chin and dropping to the ground.

Just in the nick of time, the lionesses who abandoned Vitani came to check if she was okay. Their eyes widened at what she was bringing back from the situation. "H-HOW DID YOU GO THAT?" They both asked, as they also grabbed some of the unconscious body and started pulling.

Smirking she started telling the story of the fight. The two were flabbergasted at the story, and also at the minor scratches she had after fighting a strong male lion who took down two strong lionesses who were trained to fight. Vitani still unsure if the injured lioness lived, or not.

After about 10 minutes of dragging and pulling, they finally reached Priderock. Now they had to pull him up the steps. yet, other lions and lionesses came to help pull Baya up the steps. Only to set him gently outside the den, with the entire Pride watching him closely.

"Kovu, come here. Come see what Miss. Kitty Vitani dragged in." Pulling her brother from Kiara and out of the den. "Look." The Pride broke the circle around him and she showed her brother the unconscious lion. "I spared his life, we need a lion like him. He's strong and very witty. I'll keep him in my den." Pausing to make sure he was still breathing. "Can I keep him, please. Please. Please?!" She joked around and smiled at her jokes.

Good old Vitani was back, the smart, beautiful, joker Vitani. Her stresses had been set free. Maybe the is lion was good news for her. "I already told him the main rules. Once he awakens I'll tell him more rules. For now, YOU." She pointed at one of the fighter lionesses. "Go fetch Rafiki. To help mend his scratches, and tell him just to wrap the break and sprain. I have plans." Snickering, the lioness nodded and ran off Pride Rock towards Rafiki.

Kovu smiled as he quickly ran out the den at the mention of his sister being back. He skidded to a halt, his eyes widened at the bloodied and broken lion at his paws. "Tani..." Kovu said with a look of disappointment. "We don't know what he's capable of. You should've just...just..." Kovu said, not wanting to say kill. Some lions simply needed to die. The mangled body of Baya shook as he came back to consciousness. He could not move, nor could he barely smirk.

"You are her brother? Such a brittle thing. I guess you'd do well to know something."
Baya coughed as he tried to stand. He failed, and remained on his side. His blue eyes opened slowly.

"Mmm. Another pride is going to come for that cub you saved. They aren't going to do it nicely either." Baya hissed at his own pain.

"What do you mean?" Kovu asked, glaring at the broken rogue before him.

"The pride is led by an ego-maniac. He'll come for the cub. See the lands. Want to take them. Though since this generous pile of fur spared my life...I guess im indebted to kill him for you." Baya cooed. Kovu shook his head.

"We don't need you. Your fate is up to Vitani." Kovu murmured turning to go back in the den.

"You are soft, king. You are no warrior. I just ask for food, water and shelter. Then I'll eliminate your enemy for you. Is it really that difficult to understand?" Baya cackled. "Honestly, this is hilarious! Hah! Please, don't make me laugh! It hurts too much to laugh!" Baya said as he began to laugh harder.

"Silence!"
Kovu snarled at Baya, but he kept laughing. "Vitani. Take him to the smaller den. I don't want him near the pride. He is YOUR responsibility." Kovu said in an irritated tone.

"You were mummy's favourite weren't you?"
Baya jeered. "It really shows. Thinking you can negotiate your way out of war with every little pride that strolls by."

"Take him now Vitani. Before I put him out of our misery."
Kovu warned one last time.

Vitani growled at Kovu, "Just because your king doesn't mean you can chose if a living being who is a well though warrior should die or not. Be nice Kovu, he's offering something huge." Pausing she looked at him and how being the king has gotten to him. "You don't want to lose your kingdom now do you?" Smirking, she tilted her head and looked into his electric green eyes.

She turned to Baya, then at the surrounding lionesses. "Don't harm them, their just going to carry you to my den. Then I'll get us food." Turning to the lionesses surrounding him she nodded, and they picked him up. No part of him was left on the ground. Stepping down to her den with ease, trying not to let the injured fall.

Finally at her den, they set him down on a flat rock then they quickly left the den. "Sorry about my dumb brother. He was mothers favorite and she babied him, since blah blah blah King Scar chose him and blah blah blah. I'm stunned the kingdom isn't in the ground already." Snickering, she brought him some leftover breakfast. It was still good, but just a few hours old.

Rafiki entered the den, "Oh my, de lion is like a rag doll now." Hurrying his way over with his pack of healing equipment and tending to Baya's cuts and like Vitani said, only wrapping the break and sprain in a large leaf then left after Vitani thanked him.

"There, all fixed. He said you would be able to walk until next week, but next week you'll have to keep it easy. You can stand though, oh, and I'm speaking for my brother right now. We're hiring you to keep that mangy old king out of here." She finished talking, realizing her voice was echoing throughout her den.

Baya was silent for a long while, as Vitani spoke. When the baboon got near Baya, there was great hesitation. The mystic could tell this lion was full of hatred. Though, he fixed him right up regardless sensing a better side of Baya as well. Once Rafiki left, Baya dug into what breakfast there was ruthlessly. He hadn't eaten in quite some time. When he was done, he looked to Vitani with a bold stare. "If you are going to hire me, let me kill him. Don't bother fighting his warriors. They are far stronger than you." Baya pointed out lazily, resting his chin on his front paws. A smirk spread on his muzzle.

"I tend to hog all the fun." Baya murmured quietly. "For the record, my name is Baya. Baya of the Desert." He said as he closed his eyes, trying to think for a moment.

Baya grew fed up with the awkward silence. "So your king was mummy's favorite? I knew it." Baya snorted. "My mummy didn't have any other choice...and yet I still wasn't her favourite. She left me. Left me to die in the sweet sweet desert..." Baya said with a wide toothed grin. He drew circles with his claw on the den floor. His heart clenched at the thought of his mother. It always did. There was no lioness he wanted to kill more than her. Baya looked to Vitani, not sure what words need be spoken anymore.

"I can't wait to fight you again." Baya finally said with a cackle. "That will be another term for me protecting your pitiful lands."

[Just so you know, he doesn't know what he feels for Vitani is Love. He just thinks she's such a good challenge that he wants to be around her so that they might fight again. Though I suppose he'll soon learn otherwise ;)]

Vitani eyed him. "Well, why don't I get the trackers to track down your mummy and you can kill her. My treat. Oh and, I know you probably plan on killing me. Don't. I could probably be good use to you, after all. If we ever do leave this dreadful rule. I can run alongside you, real in the prey with my womanly power." Smirking, she turned lifting her paw. "Then you can crush them if your paws." She made a fist quick, as if she was trying to squish something.

Walking around the den, kicking rocks to the side. "My mummy only cared for one thing. To get revenge on Simba. She did, by killing her son. That's when we lived in the Pridelands, he exiled her followers, Me, my deceased brother and her to brute lands, just outside the Pridelands." Looking off into the distance, she paused. "While the Pridelands and it's food dangled in front of us, as we were not aloud to hunt on their lands." Finished her story she laughed, hoping that Kovu will run this place worse than Scar did.

She waited for the day her Prince Charming burst through the dens and saved her from this Prideland horror, hating the way that the king had each say and got to chose when the lioness hunted or not. Maybe he decided when babies were born too! Just so kingly and such. So far, she got Baya. Some Prince Charming, he tried to kill her.

Back in the day, she had Kopa; Simba's son. He was some Prince Charming, coming with flowers when she woke up and staying out late to watch the stars with her. She almost teared up, to think her own mother brutally killed her Prince Charming. Shaking her head she got back to Baya, realizing it's only been about 2 minutes since anyone talked.

"What's up with you? You're tearing up." Baya asked in a bored manner as he continued to make circles. "Crying is for the weak, just so you know. I hate it when lionesses cry. Beg for mercy. 'Oh no! Please don't kill me! I have cubs to feed!'. Pfft. I turned out fine, I'm sure they will too." Baya said with a smirk. "Strength is my politics." Baya said as he crushed a small rock under his paw.

"You don't hate your brother, I can tell." Baya said on a random note. "It's the peace thats bothering you. Don't worry, that will be over and done with soon enough. As long as there are lions like me out there...peace is a fairy tale." Baya murmured. Again, he felt that she was upset about something important to her. Though, normally, he wouldn't even think to care for a lioness who was crying. It could've been that he hated to see someone that defeated him get so emotional. Made him feel like he was even weaker than that.

"Someone was taken from you? Hm?"
Baya asked without looking at her. "I've been there myself. A good friend of mine when I was a cub. She taught me a ton about survival and hunting. I watched as the vultures plucked at her for days when she was killed by a male rogue. I couldn't cry. She'd haunt me if I did..." Baya murmured, figuring that if he spoke about his past then she would feel safe to do the same about her own.

[LOL. When he tells Kopa to get lost a bit later on. Kopa talks about how he feels about Vitani, and Baya realizes he is the same way. He threatens to kill Kopa out of jealousy, but lets him go to do whatever he wishes. He gives Vitani a choice! Skadoosh. It's ok btw, for your late posts. I'm going to be sleeping now.]

Vitani sighed, "My friend Kopa was supposed to be the King here. I was his mate, chosen by his parents. We fell in love but my mother still wanted revenge on killing her first mate. She killed innocent Kopa, his body was never found but his blood was everywhere in the Pridelands." She said, sucking up her tears so she would come out as strong.

"I usually don't get emotional like this, so don't get used to it." Turning her head to revel the side smile she had smeared across her lightly coloured face. "Okay, just to make it clear. All you want is food, water and shelter, and you'll kill any threat?" she asked, trying to make this entire situation like a straight line.

Baya nodded. "Yep. Just point out who you want dead, and its just a matter of moments before you are satisfied." Baya murmured. He coughed, with a short wheeze following. "If you have other things to do, you can leave. Once I'm employed, my employer only needs to worry about the time that I'm no longer under their commnand." Baya said with a snicker.

//

Kovu's eyes were fixated on his sleeping mate, and the small cub cuddle into her side. He loved his mate dearly, and the last thing he'd want to see is her death. Perhaps Vitani was right to bring the other male here. He seemed to be a huge threat, but if what he said about another pride coming to the pridelands was true, then what was the alternative? They had to keep him around to keep everything and everyone out of harms way. Kovu let out a sigh as he once again stepped out of the den.

[I'm sorry this post was so bleh. I haven't eaten.]

Vitani's eyebrows raised, "So wait, I'm confused. You get to choose when you aren't under command anymore?" She asked, this entire situation was just confusing. Would he kill everyone in this Pride after he was done, or maybe just send a Pride to take over. "Are you going to kill everyone here?" Another question for Baya.

//

Kopa was nearing the Pridelands now, he could just smell the territory and knew he wasn't very far. Simba, Nala, Vitani and everyone else are probably going to be extremely happy. If Zira was still alive, she would be angry, but he would kill her. Even if she was Vitani's mother, she ruined his life and deserves to die.

The scent of the Pridelands told him that it wasn't to far away, homeward bound is where he was headed. After all these years, he was finally manning up and taking the long journey home. Hoping to make everyone's day.
