EVERY SINGLE PERSON AROUND ME IS BECOMING OBSESSED WITH MY LITTLE PONY.

It's like a weird dream. I'd never heard of it a week ago and now every person I talk to says "Oh yeah, amazing new fandom I'm totally into MLP."

Where is this coming from? I have no problem with it, but I'm getting sort of dazed over here.

I was expecting something a bit more dramatic than a MLP thread.

But yeah generally it is the sub series, "Friendship Is Magic", that is the popular one. And that is because, the animation puts Disney to shame, it has the best plot since Metal Gear and the art direction rivals the work of Gustav Klimt.

Eh, apparently there's this new Little Pony show, "Friendship is Magic". It doesn't interest me, but there must be a reason why everyone is obsessed with it... I've seen completely mature people like that show, so...

Statistics show that the most common viewers are 14-18 year old boys and 18-25 year old men. I've seen the first two episodes, and it's very much ok. If you watch it on YouTube the comments are hilarious, stuff like 'Haha i'm a guy and i'm watching this with my door locked hoping my college mates don't find out.' and I quote from the first vid i clicked on :
'WHY THE CRAP DOES MY ROOMMATE KEEP WALKING IN ON ME WHEN I WATCH THIS SO WHAT IF IM A 21 YEAR OLD DUDE - ITS A FREE COUNTRY'

I myself enjoy it on some level, but I really don't like it enough to watch it all. I preferred the original My Little Ponies *Le gasp* and Rainbow Dash was cooler without wings [lol. The new Rainbow fans would be ill if you saw what she was like. I quote: 'Well I do plan glorious parties darling'] Naturally I prefer it due to the fact I collected the G1-G3 ponies haha.

I hate to act "Hipster" but I was into MLP before it was cool. I've been collecting since I was like...4?

I agree that it is really weird and especially "bronies" (guy who love MLP).

I also agree with Jiirani. WHAT did they do to Applejack?! They're whiney, self centred and snarky. I miss them when they were cute, fat, ponies who cared about each other.

I remember my sister collecting the little dolls like ten years ago. I never realized that there was even a TV show (beyond tons of cheesy commercials xD) let alone a massive following. Fip, not to sound skeptical, but I read the plot and unless Wikipedia is completely wrong I wouldn't say it's a masterpiece. Then again, having not seen it I guess I'm not exactly qualified to comment on it. Orrrrr are you being sarcastic? =P

Haha an anti-MLP thread! I didn't see that one coming! Never liked MLP much even as a kid so I don't understand why so many people are into it either lol.
