This was inspired by FlamingBee's post in the Ahadi and Uru RP where Uru talks about leaving her father Choyo. No bashing or flaming please.

Uru’s Flight
Choyo looked at his daughter Uru with fury in his eyes. He couldn’t believe what she had just said.
“What did you say, you foolish girl?!” he roared.
Uru sat perfectly still, a calm look on her face.
“You heard me, Father. I’m going to the Pridelands, to be with Ahadi,” she said.
Choyo roared and leapt directly in front of Uru. However, Uru did not budge. She was an adolescent now, and she would not be intimidated by her father’s posturing. Unlike when she was a small cub, she would not cower and cry.
“YOU WOULD DARE CHOOSE MY ENEMY’S SON OVER YOUR OWN PRIDE?!” Choyo shouted in reply.
Uru said nothing. She merely closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Her mother, Kiya, went over.
“You will answer your father when he speaks to you!” she shouted.
Uru had had enough of her parents berating her.
“No. I am leaving. I will be with the one I love,” she stated.
Choyo glared.
“Then go. I am not your father, and you are not my daughter. Go be with the son of our enemy,” he said.
He then roared to signify the break. That was all Uru needed. She began to walk away, but then broke into a fast run. She needed to be away from the lion she had called “father”. After running for a long time, she crossed the border into the Pridelands. She was exhausted, and her legs ached. However, that was forgotten when she ran into Ahadi, who was walking in the Pridelands at the moment. He looked at her excitedly.
“Uru, what are you doing here?” he asked.
Uru smiled and then nuzzled him.
“My father has disowned me. I came to be with you,” she stated.
Ahadi smiled.
“Then come with me to Pride Rock,” he said.
“But what about your father?” Uru replied.
“I will talk with him,” Ahadi said.
Uru looked down sadly.
“Come on, beautiful. Remember, you’ve never had a friend like me,” Ahadi said with a cocky grin.
Uru smiled and followed her love to Pride Rock to talk with King Mohatu. She wondered what he would say.
