FYI? LionQueen I graduated from Highschool too. I know what you learn. All I'm saying is SOME take offense, not necessarily talking about the 13 year olds who feel like they are on adult standards. But for the other few that just are kids. 17/18 whatever. Hopefully Moka votes soon and we can move on with this.

And also like Songo said, there are plenty of decent discussions that are not exactly suitable for minors so yeah, I stand by that ^^.

I don't get why Maturity is always based off of age. Like many have said they know like 20 year old who act 15. At 13 I think you should know what you want to see or not, and if your not mature enough to be able to talk about it or read it then don't.

Once again I'm against an Adult board.

Maturity based on age? That is not really something I personally am with either. The reason why I said it, is because it is a natural fact of life. I mean, there is a reason why you have to be a certain age to do certain things in the real world, and that is all I based that on.

And while most younger people can discuss things in a mature way, you do still get the odd few that will LOL as soon as a [censored] is mentioned, so you can kind of see where I might be coming from, I hope. ^^

I know people under 18 are usually immature. Seriously, last year I was in a class filled with 16 year olds, and not only did they not only know how to behave, they were laughing when we were watching Schindler's List.

I don't know many people under 35 who are mature, haha! None of the kids in my village...in my city are very mature and when they try, they just make a fool out of themselves.
Not saying that applies to everyone, but me and my friend are 21. We just cried with laughter over the thought of breaking into her house for tea. I had a laughing fit over when she went "*Poot* oh dear" I literally could not breathe!
I'm not sure what point I'm trying to make...but I guess I shouldn't try and type when Jade is here, she makes me laugh!

Yea, I think I'm trying to say that people have the capacity to be mature AND immature. It's which one they choose!

Actually, I'd say late teens, early 20's and the elderly get discriminated against the most.
We're too old to be kids and too young to be adults. As far as the elderly go, I don't even want to get into the **** they go through.
My boyfriend gets so much rubbish from people because he dresses the way he does and drives the car he does and is 25. He's actually really sweet and very helpful!
I also used to get discriminated agaisnt because I used to be classed as a "Goth". Old people were scared of me! They had no reason.

Why can't you see that it's pretty much the law to keep 16 and younger away from grown-up stuff?
I'm still wanting to make the adult board 16+ btw, not 18+.

Sorry if I affended anyone. I know this person who gets laughed at because he has a medical condition that makes him look, learn, and act like a 1rst Grader. He can't help it but most people don't care. It's sad D:

I'm sure minors would be allowed to talk about careers and politics if they like, some have jobs for Christ's sake. Things like that don't need a 18+ ban on talk about jobs, lol.
If you want to talk about drugs/sex/violence then I don't think you should do it on a forum based on a child's film. The risk of a minor getting offended/pretending to be older (as some people have already) is too great. Talk about things like that elsewhere.
The majority of the people on this site are 13ish. That means that most of the users wouldn't be able to talk in this special section. I feel sorry for them. Of course, I don't think they should be talking about sex/drugs/violence, but they will feel left out and maybe resent the forum, and leave. Maybe.

I agree with you Pixie ^-^ But no matter what, I will never leave this site. I would feel somewhat left out if there was an under 18 ban from the board though. I don't see why we would need this board at all (like you have stated). Can't we just discuss TLK here, and stuff like politics for a PM, MSN, FB, or another site created for that purpose? ^^ And what if word got out (like what is being stated in this very topic) that this board went through and stuff like drugs and violence was going to be discussed? I think that it would attract the wrong kind of people and would make people want to lie about their age to make them seem like they're 18+ just so they can post in the Adult Board. I just don't think it's a good idea for a site like MLK.

But this is just my opinion :3
