If you're having trouble, just go on picnik, upload the picture of the character you want to make a smiley out of, go on Crop, change the constraints to Square (this is really important), crop the character's head, confirm, and then resize to 50x50. Save and share, JPG compression quality (best), save photo. Then upload on tinypic or whatever uploading site you use.
no need to have such a hissy fit over them lol. I mean they're nice, but... it's not like the forum's gonna collapse if there are too many of one character or they aren't ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. Which is kinda ironic tbh, I'm a bit of a perfectionist myself x3 but alas, everyone's a critic.
