It's the same way with that for quite a few things. For one, books sentences will never be the same everytime you look at the same sentence, it changes. But Az's idea actually sounds a lot more reliable then attempting to look at books. Also, you have to do reality checks throughout the day. Supposively, rubbing your hands together is one of the best methods. I've been using the one where you close one eye and see if you can still see your nose, rubbing hands together, amoung a few other odds things. I'd honestly suggest NOT going instantly trying the WILD form, because it is a very intense one to begin on, if your not experianced, you can accidentally put yourself into Sleep Paralysis, which means the rest of your body is asleep, but your mind is conscious. Honestly, try MILD or Autosuggestion first, which is what I'm doing.
But before you attempt to Lucid Dream, it's best you try and increase your dream count to at least 1 per night. The most effective way of achieving this is by giving yourself a small reminder before you go to bed, and then if you remember a dream, TRY TO WRITE IT DOWN IMMEDIATELY. Other then that, look around on the web. Try to not try anything to risky, Lucid Dreaming is pretty safe, but I'm sure there are methods that can put you into danger.
