The Pride Lands (Amanda, Moka, kovu42)

Narha was laying down in the grass of the Pridelands. She was just listening to the sounds of all the animals around her. Narha loved to feel the cold breeze of the northern wind that would sometimes come over the Pridelands. She gazed at the sun in the sky and smiled. Once she stood up she walked around to look for someone to talk to or to pounce and play with. As she made her way over to Pride Rock, someone snuck up behind her and pounced her. It was her great friend Chika.

He laughed when he saw Narha jump. Narha started to giggle along with Chika as well. Both were two joyful lions playing with each other. After Narha got to her feet again, she kept walking towards Pride Rock again. Chika decided to turn around and walk the other way.

[Moka]

Kovu was making his way across the Pridelands. He was going to visit his old home. Sometimes he went back to the Outlands when he got bored. There, the memories would overwhelm him. Nuka being crushed by the logs - he could have done something to save his brother. Zira scratching the side of his face, Zira drowning in the current. He was trying to put his past behind him. Thats what Timon said to do. It was all too hard, though.

Kovu saw a small butterfly. He smiled. It reminded him of Kiara - his one and only love. Thinking of Kiara pushed the memories down deep, but didn't take them away. As the butterfly flew from his line of sight, his smile faded, and the memories rolled back in his head again.

Meanwhile, in another part of Africa, Uzuri could sense something was wrong. She had been "patrolling the borders" as her father often did with his majordomo, trying to act more adult and mature, when she noticed a slight tremor under her paws. What was that? she thought, a little frightened. She stopped walking and looked down at her dark and almost furless paws.
They were shaking violently. Maybe that was what she had felt. Sometimes she was so intent on finding something to impress her parents that she ended up scaring herself by hearing noises she had made.
Uzuri walked on, more careful this time, but she couldn't ignore the feeling that something wasn't right. Suddenly it hit her: There were no birds in the sky. In fact, there were no animals anywhere. When she looked at the ground, the only ants she could see were frantic with panic because something had obviously scared them. Uzuri's heart sank as she realized that the tremor she had felt hadn't been in her imagination. There were only two explanations for a tremor like that in Africa: a landslide, or a stampede.......

[Moka]

After eating a delicious helping of wildberries, Zimira and Moka carried on to Pride Rock. Zimira saw a lone lion walking about a half mile away. Naturally, she lowered her head so she was concealed by the grass. On closer inspection thanks to the full moon, she recognized the figure as Kovu.

[darn it. two stories]
Uzuri's heart skipped a beat. She had to warn the pride. She'd heard how dangerous stampedes and landslides were; the late King Mufasa of the pridelands had been killed in a stampede, and his son then-Prince Simba had almost suffered the same fate, and Nuka of the Outlands had died of a logslide, although that hadn't been natural. Without waiting to think things through, Uzuri ran towards her home, screaming at the top of her voice.
"MOTHER! FATHER! LANDSLIDE OR STAMP-"
But her cry for help was quickly interrupted when a violent tremor made her stumble and hit the ground hard. Uzuri knew she was bleeding - she could feel bruises starting to form all over her knees - but she knew she had to warn her family before it was too late.
She jumped to her paws again and dashed off into the direction of her home. She had barely gone ten feet when the ground shook so hard she had to stop.
Then, just a foot from her nose, the ground cracked, and hot air and steam rose out of the crack. Then, a thick spray of fiery hot lava burst through the air. This was more than just a landslide or stampede, this was an earthquake.

[Moka]

[don't worry...they'll come together. Mind if I join in your story with some made up someone?]

[of course! it's boring making a story like this when no one joins!]
The steam from the crack was making Uzuri's eyes water, and the smoke made it difficult to breathe. She shut her eyes. If the earthquake was this bad, at least she knew that her family knew about it. But her parents would be worried sick, and would definetely go looking for her, perhaps putting themselves in even more danger.
Uzuri opened her eyes with difficulty and gasped. The crack in front of her had grown to the size of an elephant [what else could i compare it with???], and was quickly getting larger.
I have to get out of here! she thought, desperately trying to avoid the flames that were quickly engulfing her.
In the distance, she heard the roar of a lion.

[Moka]

A subordinate male from her pride named Khali rushed toward her. Khali jumped the bubbling ravine and led Uzuri through a patch of grass. A blotch of lava hit Khali on the shoulder. He growled but didn't stop trotting. Another fountain of lava burst through the air and landed just where Uzuri was a few seconds ago. Uzuri and Khali now headed back to the den.

[Panda-chan]

"Thank-you for saving me Khali," Uzuri said after she had recovered from the shock. "I was certain that I was going to perish."
[Uzuri talks wierd]
