The Great Plague

He made a move towards the Pride Rock as Nala made her way too. He looked at Nala and smiled at her as he felt that the sunshine warmed their coat. "Your coat have already got dry, I think" He said smiling. The wind messed up his mane walking on the soft grass.

"Wow he wandered all the way to priderock? I'd love to meet your king he sounds interesting." Charle stated climbing slowly to the next ledge once again.

Jioni kept pace, climbing over rocks with agility. He listened to the other's conversation, wanting to see these fabled Pridelands.

Nala smiled at her mate. "Yes, it's much better." She replied. She blinked up at the sky, watching the clouds drift lazily across the blue expanse. She looked back at Simba, wondering if he would want cubs anytime soon. She had thought about it a bit, but enjoyed their time to themselves. Her light paws scuffed the dirt as she walked, and the grass around her waved gently. It was quite calming.

Simba smiled back to Nala "I hope you are not angry with me that I pulled you into the water" He grined looking at Nala. While he was waiting for Nala's reply, he recollected when they were young lions and they "played" in Hakuna Matata when they were together.

"I heard that his uncle had murdered his father - placed the blame on him," Nyama recalled.

Laana sat next to Jato, watching Simba with resentment. "Why should he be King? Surely this ailment on our food isn't a coincedence," she growled. "He doesn't bring food back with him while it is so hard to find anything to eat." her ears flattened.

Nala purred. "Of course not." She replied lightly, smiling at Simba. Her fur shone in the sunlight, warming her too. They were almost at Pride Rock, and Nala quickened her pace to race towards the rock formation. She let out a yowl of joy, glancing back at Simba. "Come on!" She called, "I'm winning!" She laughed, her paws pounding the ground. She skidded to a halt beside Pride Rock, sending showers of dust and pebbles clattering around the stones. Nala turned back to Simba, and sat down with a smile on her face.

Jioni pricked his ears. The conversation had grown interesting...talk of murder and plots. Jioni's tail twitched. He kept following, not wanting to really walk beside them.

"Okay, I am glad you are not angry" He grined at Nala. They neared the Pride Rock when Nala started to run faster. "Heey" He called laughing and he started to go faster too. Generally, the male lions aren't as fast as the female lions - the females are faster. That's why Simba knew that Nala will win. In spite of this fact, Simba have tried everything what he could - live up a king. When they finished the race, he smiled at Nala: "You always defeat me" He laughed. "When we were cub and we went to the Elephant Graveyard" He paused for a moment then he continued "And you defeated me aswell, when I had a try at protect Pumbaa. We were fighting, and you won. Do you remember?" He asked smiling - he wasn't angry.

Nala laughed lightly. "Of course!" She replied, smiling. She bounded up on a rock. "Like always." She sat down and gazed at Simba, her tail waving gently. She again glanced at the mountains, her smile vanishing as she thought. Such strange places up there.... She mused, watching the peaks.

"Yeah, like always" He laughed then he nuzzled Nala a little. After that he turned his look towards the mountains which were very strange. He gazed the peaks thinking about that what may be there.

Nala quickly shook her fur, coming back to reality. She yawned with boredom and stretched, flexing her claws. "I could do with a nice sunbathe right now...." She sighed, rolling on her back. Since the rock they were on was in the shade, she would have to go somewhere else--if she sunbathed, but maybe she should do something more productive. Nala licked a paw and jumped off the rock. "I'm going to check on the lionesses." She called back to Simba as she made her way up Pride Rock's Ledge path. She flicked her tail and disappeared into the cave.
