Interesting theory. Maybe he was playing with her like Simba played with Mufasa, and he was to old for it and Zira told him to stop and he didn't and accidentally bit off more than he could chew.

LOL, that reminds me of a game of Stupid Questions played at another forum where one person said that the ear hole was caused by a piercing attempt gone wrong. Anyway, I've never heard the Nuka theory before.

Yeah. In a seperate theory, I think Nuka gets angry one day from his mistreatment and bites his mother's ear. She then attacks him brutally and now he acts intimidated by her, and is in constant servitude of her because he regrets it.

i think that zira was in a fight , and that's how she got it.

I've never cared about it to any other extent but just assuming it happened in a fight at somepoint of her life. Nothing too complicated or fancy. There probably isn't officially meant to be as they made no references to it whatsoever in the film.
