How could Scar prove Simba was dead?

We all know Scar killed Mufasa in cold blood, and sent his hyenas to kill Simba. That same night, Scar reported Mufasa and Simba's death to the pride. The lionesses assumingly took Scar's words for it.

If Mufasa's body was presented as evidence that he was trampled in a stampede, how come no lioness in the pride question Simba's body being absent if he was reported to be dead by Scar?
Or better yet, how could the hyenas confirm to Scar to confirm the pride that Simba was dead?

Of course, the hyenas could have told Scar that they ate Simba's body, but I'm sure Scar would have been suspicious knowing they failed him before. But, I'm sure Scar didn't care, and wanted to confirm it to the pride right away so he can usurp the throne.

But, Simba's body was absent, and no lioness made mention of it. The lionesses weren't there when Mufasa was killed, but the least they could do is question Scar about it. Anyway, I'm confused after thinking about it for so long as to how could Scar prove Simba was dead? It's giving me a headache.

He could of said something like, "Simba was crushed under Mufasa's body." Because obviously no one in the pride could lift Mufasa up. I know sounds stupid but what ever just an idea.

Another thing to keep in mind it that the lionesses did not know Scar was evil and as such they had no reason to suspect that he would lie or that he had anything to with Mufasa and Simba's death. It is also possible that if Simba's body had been caught in the stampede it could have been carried away by it well beyond the Pried Lands. Also being that the stampede killed Mufasa, there would be no reason for the lionesses to hope that Simba could have survived.

Yeah. There are many ways to be able to say that Simba's body couldn't be found and still be believable. He's only a small cub, and to be trapped in a wildebeest stampede... I would think that some lioness would actually doubt Scar's story if he had a body to show them.

Here's my opinion: The lionesses didn't know Scar was evil and therefore didn't question him about Mufasa and Simba. The lionesses could have assumed that:
1) Simba's body was torn up by the hooves
2) A scavenger got it
3) The body was simply missing

The lionesses didn't need to know Scar was evil or assume he planned the stampede with the hyenas. Scar could have lied that a little mouse started the stampede. But, Scar just lacked evidence to support his statement on Simba's "death", and one of the lionesses should have questioned Scar about that.

Hmm...well, hyenas did start the stampede Perhaps Scar could have said that when he got down there, the Stampede had already started and therefore he "didn't know" how it started ^^

I think Sarabi would have wanted to see Mufasa's body, because I know people often want to see their dead relatives etc. I think Audry Cosmo has a very good theory and I agree with it.

Either Scar says Simba's body was too horrific to show, or that he simply didn't find it.

I would assume that the lionesses actually searched for Simba's "body". It help Scar's story if he claims that Simba's body isn't found if there isn't a body to be found. There was enough proof with his story with Mufasa's body. Why doubt him when he will say that Simba's body was lost in the stampede?

Besides, Scar is a bit like a stereotypical nerd in the lion world - socially awkward, but not someone you will expect to lie about anything. Non of the lionesses thought that Scar was evil. Weird, maybe, but not evil. He didn't give them a legitimate excuse to doubt his story.
