Issa sighed and put his meat in the tiny paws of his. "Well, as you can see. There aren't very much lions in this Pride. Many families have left to find a much better spot to live." She stopped to breath. "We, on the other hand, didn't leave. As we are royalty in these area's." He added, looking up at his mother. "Is my story true, mother? Or did I say it wrong?" He asked, "I'm going by the stories you told me as a baby, to help me fall asleep." Adding, as he tore off a small chunk of meat as chewed.

---

Asani watched Uru and the lionesses walk around. Many of the animals were still tired, and couldn't put up a run. Perfect timing for a hunt. He turned into the den to check on the remaining lions. To explain why Mohatu was not around to give them the morning cheer.

"Oh," Relena sighed in disappointment but then brightened up. "If we're royalty, then we can go visit them, right?" In her straightforward mind, it all made sense. All royalty her age was a princess, and all princesses one day become queens. So if she was going to be a queen, then she could do whatever she wanted. Right? She grinned up at Issa and her mother, excited at the prospect of having friends.

"Dad!" Jato called, bouncing up to him. He was still kind of irritated at Uru blowing him off, but he knew that his father was always straight with him, ever since the moment he told him that Mohatu and he may be brothers, but Mohatu was the prince. After all, that's what fathers are for. Mothers are meant to make things buttery-soft and tell them everything will be alright, but fathers give you the cold-hard truth. Or at least that's what Mo-Mo said... "Where's Mohatu gone off to?" Jato asked. "And how come he didn't invite me? It's not fair!"

[Omg I totally forgot about this *shot* Sorry :( Terrible reply is terrible xD]

"Well dear... In a way we are all royalty, but some lions will not allow cubs they don't know very well to play with their own cubs, because sometimes there are bad lions out there." Jiirani sighed, lowering her ears. She knew her cubs couldn't harm any other cubs, but in most cases the parents would probably kill outsiders. She nodded briefly at Jioni, hopping Aria had managed to catch something too, and she hoped nothing had none wrong.

-
Uchawi barely avoided crashing into the Queen, and the pair gazed back at Jato. The poor cub had no clue what had happened. The old lioness sighed sadly, she didn't know how the boy would take it. She turned back to the queen. "Is there anything in particular we're hunting today, your Majesty?"

-

Mohatu yawned, awakening from his short slumber. He blinked warily and twitched an ear, gazing about. He could vaguely remember leaving Pride Rock, but now a cold ball of fear was rising in his stomach, he had no clue how he had gotten where he was, other than he felt heavy and confused. There had been some struggle, but he couldn't remember anyone else being near him... What ever had brought him hear appeared to have left, or taken a break of some sort. He gulped and tried to find and exit to the leafy area. After a while, the trees thinned out and the air grew thinner, branching off to a barren landscape. Mohatu squinted, rushing into the open, trying to see anything out there. Whether his mind was mocking him or not, he thought he could make out the forms of some other lions, but he was unsure if it would be wise to approach or not.

"Where's Mo-Mo?!" Jato whined, reverting back into his cub ways that most thought had been driven out of him earlier. He huffed, sitting down heavily and fuming. How come no one would answer his questions? He glared at the ground, his rational self trying to avert the upcoming tantrum with a vow of silence.

Jioni flicked his tail in reply. He glanced upwards, at the blazing sun and sighed. This can't continue.... He thought, closing his eyes. Jioni looked back at the carcass, glad that there was still some more meat. They had to conserve all they could.

Uru glanced at Uchawi. "Nothing in particular." She answered, starting to walk again. Her ears were flattened and her tail drooped. Uru sniffed, pinpointing wildebeast moving in the distance. "How about those?" She asked indifferently, changing direction.

Relena's brow furrowed. "Why would they kill cubs? They're mommies and daddies of their own, why would they want to take us away from our mommies and daddies?"

"Some lions are just like that.." She stated, sighing sadly. It was difficult to explain anything to a cub Relena's age. "They don't know who the cubs could grow up to be, so they worry." Struggling to explain, Jiirani glanced over a Jioni, but he wouldn't know what to say either. After a few minutes of trying to explain the problems with other Prides, the older lioness spotted the brown furball that was Mohatu in the distance, and squinted at it. "Is that a rabbit? It's big, considering how far away we are..." She stated, the heat partly blurring her vision, and her tired eyes blinked at the dark shape in the distance.

-

Uchawi nodded at the Queen, all the while wondering what had happened to Jato as she followed the Queen, wondering if he had found out about his sibling yet. The lioness turned back to where Uru was gesturing and nodded, Wildebeast would make a good meal after everything that had gone down. "Of course, those would do well. We just need to keep the wind behind us and try and at least separate one."

Jioni watched the brown shape plod closer. "It looks more like a lion cub...." He murmured, surprised. He blinked rapidly, but the shape wouldn't clear up. "Darn heat." He cursed softly. He flicked his tail, sheathing and unsheathing his claws. Jioni padded a bit away from the carcass, and sat, but the furball in the distance was still too far.

Uru flicked her tail. "Yes." She answered softly. She began to creep towards the wildebeast, her eyes pinpointing an elderly deer. "That one." She motioned at the wildebeast, still padding forwards. Her tail flicked in excitement of the hunt.

"Oh, a lion cub? Out her on it's own? It can't be, could it?" Jiirani asked, walking over to try and see better, but with no luck. She could see the brown creature begin to move towards them. Maybe it was looking for it's parents? There wouldn't be a Pride nearby though. Mohatu had realized that though there was danger in talking to strange lions, he had no clue where he was an avoiding them would get him no-where. "Hello?" He called out as he moved closer, noticing he had their attention.

Uchawi nodded, splitting off from the queens side and circling round the deer, her belly close to the ground, trying to blend into the golden grass as best she could.

Jioni kept watching, his curiosity fully roused. The thing was coming closer, and growing clearer. As the shape called out, he realized it was definitely a lion cub. "It must be lost." He mumured to Jiirani. His shyness kept hiim from calling back and his ears flattened involuntarily. He glanced at Jiirani, hoping she would reply.

Uru crept around, eyes locked on her target. She felt poised, as if the slightest sharp movement would set her off. She halted, close enough to run. She raised her tail, a signal, then sprang forwards. The wildebeast bolted. Their calls were all around her, and she had to dodge the hooves of the deer near the outside. She soon was sprinting beside her quarry, as it screamed and gasped. She spotted Uchawi a few paces back, nearing the wildebeast. Uru curved around, and herded it away.
Now farther from the rest of the deer, she shoved into it. Going so fast, the elderly wildebeast was sent flying. Uru loped over, her muscles burning. She saw Uchawi already gripping the deer, and hurried to help.
