I don't think it should be for the same reason the last one wasn't locked. Sure the topic got off hand, but as is the case of the last one, people will eventually mature up and handle it better.

As it is, it is against the rules. I am not going to lock this thread, but shall we discuss whether or not we are furries and what our opinion is of people who are? Since that is what the OP asked?

OK about time I had my say as I am well in the fandom, with a suit been to conventions, and know the history

Furries have been around since the late 1800's, they started to get more popular when characters such as bugs bunny, daffy duck, taz etc came to the TV and comics. Of course over the years the fandom has expanded. People now have they own, animal personas know as fursona, a representation of themselves as an animal or just a character for fun. These Characters are mainly shown through art work and fursuits

I will hold my hands up and say now that there are those that use the fandom as a 'sexual kink' and the worse ones want to actually be with an animal BUT that is only a very small amount of the furry fandom, and they are frowned upon. I know well over 200 furries, 30 are close friends and I can tell you non of them are into the fandom for that reason. So what are they in for?

The list can go on forever ask every furry 'what is furry?' you will get a million answers. For most is a hobby, a bit a fun, self expression, artistic, religion, spiritual. There are so many different ways to express it, I alone cant answer what one is. For me its spiritual, I believe that Kivuli is my spirit and he is expressed through my body in the form of art, fursuiting and roleplay. Aside from that it is generally fun,and if you know how to act even a little, the public will love you for it, as long as you dont push boundries and be nice you can put a smile on someones face
