Laini shrugged at Tamu's suggestion, "I don't really mind." To her, all animals tasted the same. It wasn't too true, but she never had a more favorite prey. Her mother always said that any food is a blessing, and it was actually one of the only thing Laini never argued with her about.

Tamu grinned as she pranced slightly. "Zebra it is then" she then stopped her prancing, walking normally as her brows turned into a frown even as she smiled. "The faster we get outta here the less likely it is Mister Bragger himself will find us" she said in a semi-jocking tone as she sped up her pace a little, headed towards the vast plains where animals of all kinds grazed.

Laini rolled her eyes at the mention of him, "Good, let's hurry." she said, walking a little bit faster. However with her luck, which always seemed to be worse when she was in a good mood, they would probably run into him either way. It always caused her to think back and try to figure out whether she'd ever done anything bad to deserve all of this.

As they walked Tamu let random thoughts run through her head, trying not to even let the faintest thought of the present day Gakuru enter her head. She thought back to when they were all cubs, when he was their friend too. She smiled at those past experiences and in fact was so immersed in it she nearly tripped on a rock. The near spill snapped her out of it and she looked at Laini with an embarrassed smile. "I meant to do that"

Laini chuckles, "Sure you did." the two kept walking for a couple of minutes untill they were getting close to the hunting grounds, "Let's keep quiet now." she said, her voice a whisper. She went with her friend into longer grass so that none of the animals would spot them. She and Tamu weren't the best hunters, probably because of their age. But it was either try themselves or wait for hours untill her parents decided that their daughter deserved some food.

Tamu gazed at the herd of animals threw the grass, remaining completely silent as she looked for a suitable target. She knew all to well they couldn't take on a full grown adult of almost any kind, at least not yet and so she looked for younger animals. "Psst" he said ever so quietly as she tapped Laini's side, gesturing towards a zebra that looked to be about their age, if not a little older.

Laini also looked for a target that wouldn't be too much of a problem for them to take on. Tamu however was the one to find a suitable target. Laini looked at her friend and silently nodded. "How are we going to get this one?" she asked in a whisper into her friend's ear. What she really enjoyed about hunting with her friend was the way they worked together to take down their targets.

Tamu thought for a few seconds. "How about the good old cut off tactic? I'll drive it towards you and then jump 'em when their close enough" she suggested. They had many different tactics and always asked Laini what tactic she'd like to use rather than making the final decision herself. She liked this tactic for how surprising it was and no matter how many times they see it, prey could never predict when it was going to happen.

Laini smiled and nodded, "Sounds good." Even if their prey did predict it, it's not like that would help him at all, he would have to run anyways and she would wait for him there. She looked at the zebra for a couple of more seconds before again whispering to her friend, "Let me just get in position. Give me 1 minute and then go." she said before slowly and carefully making her way towards the other side of their target.

Tamu nodded and waited, she kept an eye on the zebra. She precisely timed her waiting period, just over a minute . By now she knew it took Laini less then that time to get in position but her mother told her a little extra time last minute adjustments never hurt. She then began to slowly approach, staying low and quite.
