Title: Savannah Warriors

Story: Long ago, Rafiki founded the fighting art of Utetezi (Swahili for "defense"). Over the course of his long life, he has taught many students, the greatest of which were Mufasa, Sarabi, Scar, Zira and Sarafina. Unknown to them, Scar was evil and plotting to take the title of "Aali Shujaa" (greatest warrior) for himself. Upon learning that he would not have the title, he rampaged through the local village and slaughtered citizens. For this, he has been in prison for the last 20 years. Now, Mufasa, Sarabi and Sarafina have been teaching their own students: Simba, Nala, Kovu (who is a teen just starting to grow a mane), Eden the cheetah and Vitani. Now, Zira has helped to release Scar. What will happen? Find out in this RP!

NOTE:

I have decided to go ahead and start the RP. However, doing this means that we will have to pitch in a bit more and post for Nala, Sarafina and Kovu until somebody wants them full-time. The story has begun. Please don't forget the three characters still in need of casting, especially Nala, as she is Simba's love interest, friend and sparring partner. If anyone is interested in playing one or more of them, please post the request in the planning thread and I will give you the role.

Rafiki, inventor of the fighting art of Utetezi, was deep in meditation in his sanctum within the Diamond Palace, until the disturbing vision that he had been granted to him roused him. This vision so disturbed him that he sent the palace messenger, the Hornbill Zazu, to fetch his group of devoted students: Mufasa, Sarabi, Sarafina and Zira. He waited until he heard the door open before looking at them. "Ah, my students. I have much to tell you," he said.

[Nitro]

"Master, what is it?" Mufasa panted, skidding to a stop and kneeling down into a bow.

Rafiki took a deep breath. He saw no reason to delay telling them what he had seen. "I have seen a vision. Scar will return," he stated.

[Nitro]

"Impossible!" Mufasa roared. "No one can escape from that prison!"

Sarabi bowed to master Rafiki before speaking, "Master, how could Scar escape? That prison is maximum security."

Rafiki nodded. "Nothing is impossible. You all should know dat," he said. He then looked at Mufasa and Sarabi. "You two must increase de training of your son Simba. He has grown into a strong young lion, but he needs guidance," he said. He then looked at Sarafina. "Sarafina, you must increase the training of your daughter Nala. She is strong, but will also need guidance," he said. Rafiki then smiled. "It is now time for us to choose de Aali Shujaa," he stated.

"Yes master." Sarabi said turning towards Mufasa and then bowing towards Rafiki and walking out to find Simba.

At the moment, Simba was in one of the courtyards, sparring against Nala. "Good work, Simba. Keep it up and you just might beat me one day," she said. Simba was about to reply when he saw his mother coming. He went to her and bowed. "What is it, Mother?" he asked.

"Simba, Master Rafiki has told us that you must be trained so you may fight Scar. Surprisingly, master Rafiki had a vision that Scar would excape the prison he has been held in for so long." Sarabi said to Simba. She looked over at Nala, "Your mother should be coming for you soon enough."
