Cheng nodded. "I've conditioned my paws not to feel certain types of pain," he stated, remembering his training.

"That's great Cheng just wish I could do so." Ash said before leaping into the air once again this time landing on the last stone. "Guys! We made it all the way to the end!" Ash shouted happily.

"And so far, no Kremlings," Cheng commented. However, this was not to last, for a heavily-muscled Kremling emerged from the shadows. The reptile attacked, and so did Cheng. It went on for a bit.

Ash watched in awe as Cheng faught back hard with his kung-fu.

Cheng continued to fight the blue-scaled Kremling. Feeling himself getting tired, he decided to end the fight there. The young Snow leopard gave one hard kick, launching the Kremling right into the lava.

Ash sheilded her face with her arm hoping not to get lava on her face. The lava just missed her she sighed and patted Chengs back, "Good job Cheng!" Ash looked around to see if there was any more kremlings. "So is the palace far from here?"

Cheng looked down. "No, Ash. We still have quite a way to go," he said. He then tried to remember his parents' account of their adventure on the island. "If I recall correctly, the swamps are next," he said.

"Alright swamps aren't too bad. Alligators and turtles water and mud that's it right? Maybe a few kremlings." Ash said.

"I think I'm going to dislike the humidity and the stench even more," Cheng said. He then thought about it. "However, that's probably because I've never had to set paw in one before," he continued.

"We had a bunch of them near my old pack that's why my father started our pack there most wolves hate strong smells that way my father wouldn't have to fight too many males for the territory." Ash said. "I'm mostly used to it." Ash stated walking slowly trying to walk off her burns in the soft grass and moist dirt.
